  1. I think the IP is actually working against the Call of Duty game. Yes, Call of Duty is popular, but that doesn't mean there would be interest in an adaptation. Other video game IPs like Stellaris or Darkest Dungeon can be very successful as board games because those games are already turn-based or at a very relaxed pace and involve deep strategy. Call of Duty is not that. If any genre would capture why people like CoD, it would have to be a dexterity game.

It could also be working against the game from the other direction too. I've played several Call of Duty games. They're fine. They were good for what they were. But that's not the sort of experience I want from a board game either.

On the other hand, if that exact same game with the exact same gameplay and art direction had licensed the Rainbow Six IP instead, it would probably have 10x the pledges.

  2. You really only need seven calendars—one starting on each day of the week. We did it for 20 years! By the time we needed to recycle an old one, we’d forgotten all the pictures anyway! 😂

  3. If Camilla is going to continue to drive the screen, she needs to get better about showing off the pages to the viewer and not just herself. For example, she spent a lot of time static on the call of duty game page showing absolutely nothing and then cut to the next game not showing most of the page.

  4. Great video! But why do you think it’s pronounced schmorgasbord, the word starts with sm not schm? 😀 It’s a Swedish word originally, so she got it right the first time she said it (except in Swedish it’s pronounced a bit differently, but certainly no sch-sound at the start) 😁

  5. It was ironic to hear a board gamer talk about how over complicated video games can be. 🙂 Reminds me of the guy a friend of mine overheard at Gencon who said "Sports people get way too far into it!" Spoken not too far from someone in a unicorn dragon costume.

  6. The arrangement of the segments this episode and it Improved the video overall. Featured project -> all game projects -> Streed recap -> non game projects. The whole thing flowed a lot better with this arrangement.
