When my niece’s fairy wings broke, there was only one solution: break out the yarn!

  1. I love these. Adding to my project list. Maybe if you made the center connecting piece wider & had wires coming off of the edges of the wings that would give you more stability. Also a lighter weight yarn might help.

  3. Amazing. I want some, no I NEED the wings in my life.

Oh imagine them in a range of sizes and colours on the front of my house!!!!!

I'm sorry hun I would love to join your patreon, but not an option atm!!

Do you release your patterns anywhere else? Ravelry or similar? I have eight granddaughters who would love these.
I have purchased the sadly now deceased wings your niece had, but honestly never even crossed my mind to make them some.

    Brilliant video. xxJane 🐑🌼

  4. Love this so much!

I'd suggest a thicker gauge wire for a stronger structure!

The cosplayer in me wants so desperately to suggest all the things, like drawing out a plan on paper to lay projects like this over to check for size/scale as you go.

Can't wait to try out this pattern myself!

  5. I read, or saw, a hint about finding the inside end and it said to pull from the right of the ball with the label facing you (or the top if the label is printed vertically) – doesn't always work precisely, as I do still get yarn barf, but it seems to succeed to a reasonable degree

  6. Just an idea, but I wonder if you could take an old backpack and cut the back off (with the straps on it) and kind of sew the wings to that. You could attach them at more places along the center back part to give the wings more support. If not the entire back part of the back pack, maybe just the straps? With the black detailing on the wing you could probably hide where they were attached. Also, if someone wasn't fond of the backside of the crochet on the outside of the wings, showing they could sew a cute fabric on there or add more details, or even just decorate with flowing tulle or something.. Idk, it makes sense in my head!! lol

One last thing, when you mentioned the moth flying around, my first thought was "it's probably attracted to a pretty moth on her shirt".. lol
