Creating a Death Trap

The plaintiff brought her car into the defendant’s shop for repair, but she says he caused a leak in the process, so the plaintiff is suing. The defendant insists he did a great job on the plaintiff’s vehicle, and he denies owing a thing.

  1. Mans said she made the decision to get cheap parts after court to the dude with the mic, I can't believe he didn't say that during court to the judge, it could have saved him.

  2. Mechanics should give the customer an option to make their own choice… letting them know that it will be a certain cost if you get after market parts or this cost if you want manufacturers originals (that way the customer knows what they are getting & it's up to them to decide) most of the time the labor to do a job will cost a lot more than worrying about saving a few bucks on the parts. Not to mention the inconvenience and stress. Total transparency = happy mechanic & happy customer (just saying)😉

  3. Cars are complicated pieces of machinery and people seem to spend as little as humanly possible on them. I suspect this mechanic is cheaper than those around him because he uses sup-quality knock off parts. I do believe he is telling the truth in that he offers parts from the dealership, but the owners pass on this option because they cost a lot more. Talk with any quality mechanic and they will tell you that cheap Chinese knockoff parts will cost you a significant amount of money more in the long run.

  4. Yup, those Escapes have serious EGR and CAT problems. I’ve seen the EGR valves explode on those from CATs getting clogged. Almost $600 for just an EGR tube though?!?. The dealerships are straight up crooks and I’m a dealer tech. The independent mechanic should have taken care of that with a legit EGR tube for $50… order it, put in on, and ship it. That hose repair is just stupid and would never have lasted, I don’t care if it’s silicone or not.

  5. The defendant needed to use another vendor to get a different brand of EGR part. The plaintiff however should've had the doctor actually test her for carbon monoxide poisoning. She can't possibly expect the judge to rule on no real medical diagnosis. Another case of morons dealing with idiots!

  6. Plantiffs haircut screams "Karen" 😂 I honestly do not understand how people come to court, demanding reimbursement with NO PROOF. Makes absolutely no sense to me.

Doug always throwing shade and jabs 😂
