  1. Mega raids like BRD needs to make a return, the adds will not be with the boss but those mobs you can avoid in BRD and other raids or perhaps make bonus bosss that have adds but the focus wouldn't be good powerful gear but collectible transmog gear.

The extra Adds that are on the side lines provide gear you want for transmog with the idea that you'll return an expansion or two later to farm the transmogs.

Regular & Heroic would have substantially reduced boss abilities, and the Mythic+ will be something stupid like the recently pre-nerfed sunken temple with no serious perks besides things like titles, and achievements.

  2. I feel like people will do it for the cosmetics but that's pretty much it, since you can't get the best gear, it would be far easier to just do M+, get some gear, come back with full max ilvl and destroy everything, so no challenge, just a speedrun to reach max rank and leave.

  3. Raiding is king and what made wow great was having the best raids. Where they went wrong was tuning for RWF then nerfing those raids frequently and at random intervals.

You correct about the need to remove addons.

  4. My biggest issue with wow for years is being forced to do content I dont like, so I dont fall super behind in gearing.
    Legion legendaries
    corruption / corruption resistance farming
    Torghast
and any raid tier im not really feeling
Just let me do the endgame content I enjoy and still be able to reach BIS

Its hard to love a game when you have to play parts of it you hate, just to keep up with the parts you like

  5. how is this hyping anyone up, i don't get it
there's literally nothing new or anything in general to be positive about in the new expac
at least last expac people who didn't play it thought they were missing out on the whole underworld or whatever thing (which in the end we knew we didn't)
this all seems like catered to kids or something

  6. Re: gear. I think gear of all types (raid, m+, pvp and now delves) should be expected to cap out at heroic tier for "average" players no matter what their playstyle. There should still be mythic/glad gear for the top-end raiders/pvpers but it should only be maybe half a tier above heroic – enough to be meaningful and a reason for people to attempt the highest tier content, but not so much that playing without it is untenable.

If M+ is going to have mythic-equivalent gear, it should be gated very high, either through difficulty (only rewarded from say M+20 or even M+25, or whatever the rescaled equivalent will be in the new xpac) or time-gated ("regular" drops are heroic-tier and only the weekly cache drop is mythic-tier. Even that's pretty loot-friendly as raiders can't even get heroic-equivalent on farm like that). There should be none of this "you need to have a full set of mythic-equivalent M+ gear before we'll accept you into our heroic raid" nonsense. If getting mythic-equivalent gear from M+ is so common that it's the expectation, then the bar is simply too low. The expectation should be – if M+ rewards mythic-equivalent at all – that getting that gear is approximately as difficult as completely mythic raids.

Also a bit of a "casual" aside, world quests and similar content should drop LFR-equivalent gear as the baseline, and maybe even Normal-equivalent gear as an occasional (the latter is kind of already in place in the form of weekly world bosses, though it would be nice if early-xpac world bosses would get upgraded along with the patch levels so that they don't become junk content every couple months). There should really be no reason to do LFR unless I simply want to do LFR (maybe for set gear, as WQs drops typically can't be catalyst-converted). Of course lowering the "need" to do LFR even further would likely make queue times even worse, but that could likely be remedied by adapting the new NPC-filled group idea (preferably with NPCs that aren't quite as terrible as they currently are in dungeons, but regardless).

  7. War within sounds kinda meh. I miss when old expansion impacted the entire world. Not only adding new zones but changing old ones. My immersion breaks the instant i step out if stormwind or the current expansion because the rest of the world is frozen in time. Why is the plaguelands still infested by scourge? Ehy is westfall still experiencing the cataclysm. The broken isle are still being invaded by legion and so on. That old content should be updated since it is literally impossible to go back and experience it the way it was when it was released unless you level an alt and even then the experience just feels half baked. Blizzard could update the entire world with each new expansion instead of adding new stagnant islands that'll just freeze in time and be abandoned once the new expansion comes out. Its a bs excuse saying they can't. They got the money and the resources, they are just too greedy to invest in anything other than the bare minimum

  8. My main problem with Island Expeditions/Torghast is that they were new and fun content in the game that didn't have any real good rewards for progression beyond whatever weekly cap resource they're forcing onto you. When SL first dropped I was spamming Torghast just because it was fun, but after a few weeks I stopped since other gear progression systems (dungeons/raids/pvp) demanded my time more while Torghast wasn't giving anything beyond my already capped soul ash.

  9. The MMO part would be so much better if WoW had an Ultima style open world. I don't mean PvP. Very difficult PvE that you can solo, or group and in both cases it's super fun to dungeon crawl or explore and XP up and get gearitems even as 2, 3, 4, 5 players or more. Right now, if my brother and I want to go do something in WoW that's challenging…we have to pug dungeon. That's it. There is no real challenging solo or duo content like other MMOs have. It sucks.

  10. would be cool if the enemies were to match to the abilities, so if you have a lot of dispel, cc, or shield in your party, you can make enemy matchups to require that counterplay

  11. Asmon really lost his touch with retail. I mean retail is doing pretty good right now and all of the 6m players would prolly hate them removing addons and making raids easier. We don't raid for loot, we raid for the experience of playing with friends and killing hard bosses. Thats what retail has become. I also play SoD for the more casual chill approach. Stop trying to make retail like classic tho, we don't want "ez tank and spank then loot".

  12. M+ is the greatest mistake Blizz ever made…and raid difficulties are on place 2. I mean, each and every RPG/fantasy etc movie works like "go and enter the big evil cave/castle,find the biggest of all evil, slay it and get the biggest tresure in the world .

Its simply bulls*** that you could find equal tresure in the very first Dungeon (but on a,somehow mystically harder, version of punshing Minions in the face)

And do we need 4 different versions of 1 big evil Boss?NO.

Blizz should cancel difficulties, and rethink loot Tables. We shouldnt be able to get everything from everywhere

  13. The only reason I have not raided in the past is because I don't like the idea of repeating the raid over and over and over. I want to complete the Raid and not repeat it on the same difficulty again. I just want the Achievement (as in the actual sense of clearing it, not the in game achievement). Thats when I consider the Raid "beaten".
So if I can do the Raid on Normal, go to a Delve or a Dungeon to gear up for the Raid on Heroic, that is actually awesome for me. I hope the Raiding scene transitions more towards this idea and Blizzard make the Raids really challenging to complete as a result. I think that would make them a lot more fun.

  14. Unpopular opinion, but personally I really liked Torghast. I've always been a fan of roguelikes, so it was right down my alley. I only played a mage in Shadowlands, maybe it was more fun as a mage than with other classes, idk.

With that being said though, since you had to do it every week to keep up, it did often feel like a chore, so that really soured the expierence. Also, it got repetitive after around the 6th to 8th run, because you had seen everything it had to offer.

So I think that delves, with dynamic objectives and more "biomes" as opposed to always the same tileset and enemies in Torghast, have the potential to be really fun. Let's just hope Blizzard won't fuck it up.
