Crazy Monday | Thank You Yvonne | Maxine Spa Day

Ok so Monday was a bit of a crazy day. It was super hot and windy and long … but behaviourally … if that’s a way I can describe a Monday … it was challenging.

Generally speaking, Luke works hard to maintain pack harmony every day, but the spot fires from who and where are really expected. Well not on this day. They were everywhere.

I’m going to give some warning for this video. It’s not the usual mostly rainbows and unicorns. If you’re not having the best day, you might want to skip this and wait for tomorrow’s video. But for those who want warts and all, continue watching.

Luke has been focusing on Cruiser and Diesel’s training, most especially this last week or so and some of the pack members have taken that as an opportunity to act out. Well Luke decided enough was enough. Cover your ears if you don’t want to hear a behaviourally unacceptable word said about Miss Violet, Barney, Shadow … 🙉

Abra, we all know has been on Luke’s radar. But today there was going to be no excuses. She might be a puppy but her behaviour is being received by the other dogs as serious and so too does her training now need to be.

After a 30 mins boot camp session peace was restored and Cruiser and Diesel could join us.

Phew.

Maxine arrived extra early. Aunty Sam has been missing Maxine each week because I’m usually inside with the kids. But today I was on Spa duty. Looking back on the video, it’s an hour of Maxine and I having a chin wag. All we do is talk about dogs. Obviously a shared love. Maxine shares her stories, I share ours.

Meanwhile, inside, Luke is making the kids pizza for breakfast.

The highlight of our day was Cruiser super excited to see his mates. Giving Rosco lots of licks in the mouth. Big respect.

We also thank a special person named Yvonne, who for her 80th birthday asked her friends and family to make a donation to the farm instead of giving her presents at her party. What a lovely thing to organise. Thank you so very much and happy birthday Yvonne from all the doggies and humans at the farm.

In the afternoon, Cruiser meets Kitty. The first meeting of many.

In the evening, we all find our spots for the night. It’s as quiet as a mouse. It’s been a very very big day.

  10. Happy Birthday Yvonne!!🎂🎉🎉🎈🎈 Sam had her hands full with the pups today….the "No" came out a lot to the pups! Cheeky pups; forgetting the "rules" so Luke had to have some training reminders! When Luke says "quiet", I get quiet too!!🤣 Maxine is the "It Place" for the pups. They all want to fit into the Spa Mobile (haha). Her pups are so handsome! Roscoe and Cruiser….new besties perhaps; they were playing so well together. Love Abra's singing and she is still trying to figure out Miss Kitty Rose—so fun to watch these two. That water looked so refreshing in the pool as it was hot outside. Cruiser coming in for pets is awesome. He looks more comfortable with the pack now. Great video as always. 🥰🥰🥰🥰

  13. Luke is such a great, strong, leader. He sees things exactly as they are, and calls the dogs out on it. Good job Luke! Love seeing Hope play with Luke at the pool. Abbra has a beautiful howl! Elle and Evie are so adorable.

  15. Freddo is clearly off duty today . Come on, Freddo, keep your pack in order 😅.

    Why is it when mums are in charge, kids and clearly doggies take full advantage.
    Remember my mum saying that when our dad was at work, we would bicker and/ or play up , especially during school holidays ! , yet as soon as he came home ,on our best behaviour .

    Maybe Sam put on one of Luke's red shirts ( when you're in charge) ,maybe they have hidden powers, OR is it the colour RED 🤔 ,OR deepen your voice 🤔 ? Lol 🤣

  20. These are just dogs being dogs. Well-trained and well-loved – but just like children, you have to constantly reinforce the boundaries and limits. We know that Luke is always watching…this pack would not be so well coordinated and good for helping shelter dogs, etc. – if it weren't for the constant watching and attention Luke gives to the whole pack.

    Those who question Luke's methods and judgement don't recognize the gift he and Sam have and the extent of his experience and knowledge.

    Trust the Evans…believe in them…they know what they are doing.

  30. Oh, go, Maxine!!! You are so gentle. It was great seeing Hope not shut down with her bath. Wow, she's come a long, long way and now, coming out of her shell faster and faster. Way to go Luke, Sam, family, crew, and Maxine!!!!!

  38. I'm almost 3 days behind watching this. What a nice gesture, Yvonne, and I hope you had a wonderful 80th bday.

    Can't believe the staffy family ALL get in trouble. Miss V was definitely reved up.

    It was lovely to see Cruiser and Diesel settling in.
