I just came back from camping, and I finally get to watch a Troy live stream!
Man, hearing you criticize CTGP's bad tracks is so cathartic. Thank you for calling out exactly how CTGP can (and should) be so much better. There are so many incredible tracks out there that they're sleeping on because they insist on keeping miserable tracks like Yoshi Lagoon and Mushroom Peaks.

Member of the CTGP track council here – just want to clarify that no, we aren't keeping in tracks because we are good at them. Tracks that are placed on removal polls are determined by two factors: popularity (based on # of times played online) and rating. If a track is too high in either of these metrics, it won't be able to be placed onto a removal poll. That's the reason why Peaks has never been considered for removal: it is the most popular track online despite its very poor ratings. My advice (this goes for anybody) if you dislike certain tracks: don't pick them online and also be sure to participate in the bi-yearly rating forms, as the bulk of removal poll candidates come from the lowest-rated tracks that also have poor popularity (though there are some exceptions such as GP Mario Beach).
As for retros – there are some cool remakes coming out in the future (SNES CI2, 3DS RR, and GBA LC, to name a few).
why dont you stream the knockout tournaments? i think it would work well

I have heard that the 3DS tracks some reason gets renamed to something like Fiery Fortress instead of just 3DS Bowser Castle and I wonder why that is the case. I think that people that would have no idea about like anything in this CTGP pack, like Minus World maybe, wouldn't recognize that it's a 3DS track when the name is different. I really hope I get an answer to that.

I think that the tracks like mushroom peak & co should only removed from worldwide but still be in ctgp in general because there are people who enjoy those tracks(i dont believe its only trolls and vr farmers who enjoy these tracks despite what everyone else claims)…maybe put those tracks in a seperate category or something that has to be selected to be chooseable …so people can still use the tracks if they want to and the rest can enyoy ctgp without them and if they get updated/changed they could be voted to be back in Worldwide…idk just my opinion on the Situation ….
