  5. I knew Prince Andrew from being married to Sarah Ferguson (Fergie). She was somewhat put upon by the media for her sense of fashion. She ended up being very cool and eventually dumped Andrews ass.

  11. I suspect that someone like Prince Andrew has a social secretary, and if the secretary keeps old journals he (more likely the secretary) can check where he was and who he was with. So 'I was at Pizza Express' is feasible….

  16. I come here to give my opinion on Spare, which I just finished, and Simon starts with man lingerie and a graphic description of how to use it. I'm rarely speechless, this is not one of those times. Do I have to give Louisiana my ID now that I have to bleach my brain? Back to the Royals. Please. Memoir, Simon, memoir. Why is there still a monarchy in England? Because they bring in a lot more tourist dollars than they cost the taxpayers. They have their own money, in fact Prince Harry's wedding was paid for by family money not the taxpayers. England has a fine history of dickery. Elizabeth II actually made some good changes. Unfortunately not enough to keep her own family safe. We all knew all this waaaayyyy before Spare hit the bookstores, or even before the Oprah interview. We knew the British media are prime full of dickery and the Firm's PR officers plays tradesies to protect pedophiles. Common peasant Andy would not have had his buggery covered up, in fact he could not have afforded it. He would have had the crap kicked out of him by a lot of us other peasants. Lots of times. So when someone so far down the hereditary list, even though a Prince, and his wife, decide to escape the constant abuse the Royal PR people throw them under the bus. Makes all kinds of sense, they have a lot to cover up now given pedophile uncle and all. Spare was actually a well written memoir. America seems divided on it. All of his youthful peccadilloes are admitted to and described in great detail in the book. Might want to read it, Simon. Harry is 6th or 7th now, Simon. Wikipedia is right some of the time. And you mean sweaty Uncle Prince Andrew.

  23. Thanks for a really great video. The Royals have been full of controversy ever since they've been a thing. A few years ago I saw a really good documentary called Britains Real Monarch, done by Historian Tony Robinson, based on the idea that Edward IV was illegitimate – the notion being if I recall, that his mother would have had to have had a 13 month preganacy if it were true (alleging he was born from an affair rather than to his Father, the king). Following this, Robinson traced the family down through the centuries to work out who should rightfully be on the throne now. The results were pretty hilarious IMO – & who can say if they were true or not. The person they traced it to was a fairly ordinary and unassuming Australian republican, who by that definition, couldn't stand the royal family! That would really be worth a video.

While my sympathy for Andrew is severely lacking, I'm not sure it's right to refer to his defences against Giuffre's suit as technicalities; she was suing him for money based on events she had already settled with Epstein, with one of the conditions of that settlement being that the matter was closed and she couldn't then file more suits based on the same events. Andrew claiming this meant she couldn't sue him for those events seemed reasonable on the face of it, though clearly turned out to be unsuccessful.

  34. I still would rather live in an absolute monarchy than in the "democracies" of today. (Except Switzerland where the people actually have the last word and vote direct). Everywhere else you vote some dumb politician or party into power who won’t do anything they promised. Oligarchy, monarchy, "democracy", republic and so on, same sh*t different toilet.

I find it funny the military thing about not seeing the enemies as people but chesspieces, because that dissociation is what all soldiers have to do in order to do their job without having a mental breakdown. Also that the news picked it up and took it as "The prince admitted to committing war crimes and killing civilians with no remorse"

  46. Well, as an American, I did think Queen Elizabeth was a proper Monarch. She never neglected her duty to lead, serve, and represent the country while working her entire life for the crown. God bless the Queen. Princess Anne is also a dedicated worker in the same manner as her mother.
