So what animal made the track in the thumbnail for the video?
Feel free to leave your own tracking tips as others have done, and let me know what track videos you'd like to see in the future.

I would have thought just the opposite ! that the paw print with the bigger 'scary' looking claw marks was the wild coyote and the smaller paw print with no or little claw marks was the domestic dog! very interesting. I've only recently just gotten into going out into the woods, for camping and hiking. but I notice the animal prints and well as human/boot prints! thx
Cohoes around here leave big prints. We see them on our cameras, and they are the size of a husky, not the tiny city coyotes.
Thank you! Excellent teaching.
Great detailed info. I appreciate it. Hope to see more tracking information.
Thanks great info
If at first you think itβs a cat print, but itβs not where a house cat would be. Itβs a Coyote. Verifiable by the claws
I have a Coonhound/Beagle mix and those dog tracks are identical.
Iβm in Canada though, so they are definitely not his. π
No.
The shot in the opening is a dog.
nails?
Not sure where you're at but the coyotes we have in NY state leave much bigger tracks than that.
We have a lot of 'yotes out here and I always wondered how to tell the difference from our dogs who are about the same size.
Good video!. I noticed because of the depth and difference in size the dog was probably twice the size of the coyote
good video… I thought, at first, the big tracks were th coyote. thanks for the analysis!
And the coyote track is "ground down because of MORE running "…sound fair ?
You should study the evolution of these animals. It will give you a better explanation for what you see.
Thank you this was helpful
I really enjoyed your video. Good, clear info. Now I'm going to the farm to find some tracks!
