For me, it's simple. IMO They would have the same record even if they had every player from last year and healthy. We built a good record with average players on the dregs on the NFL. 12 wins against the Jets, Giants, Washington, Carolina….the true litmus was everytime we played teams like the 49ers, GB. We got smoked. The padded stats and easy wins accounted for those 12, the schedule. This year's schedule is not that type. The best we were ever going to do would have been enough wins to depress our draft spots. Henry and a reciever, same result. My personal theory is Jimmy called Jerry after the GB game and went full pissed GM on him. But however he came to the idea, I think he came to the conclusion that everyone, everyone needed to go. All contracts played out, evaluations made. I personally thought this was absolutely the correct route. But then marketing Jerry started to get involved because it's his OCD. So he whiffed, signed Dak and Lamb, already on the hook for Dipps, and I can only hope Micah's mouth gets him traded for picks. I'd never give position leading money to a 245 edge specialist who is about to hit his injury era for guy's his age in his position. Carson sniffs of bust, Mazi full display bust, Dipps is a slower, less physical version of his overated self. The defense played well against the Eagles.
