  1. Extremely sad ! But also it really shouldn't have happened & the council has to take some responsibility for the drainage of this road ! We see it time & time again our drains are not fit for purpose because of lack of investment in our infrastructure & nothing gets done until someone loses their lives !…..Our moto is 'We will contribute towards your death & then see what we can do later down the line !!

  2. I spent the bank hols up in Liverpool we had a family birthday by night time family started departing towards various surrounding areas and soon text messages came back that water levels were wheel deep, while out dropping family off due to the heavy rain, I've never seen such treacherous conditions cats and dogs would be an understatement, very sad indeed, definitely no advanced warning from the authorities 😢

  3. With the amount of tax we all pay to travel around this country there shouldn't be any death trap roads FFS. Modify the damn thing and add loads of drainage. Poor couple. Horrible waste of life. Devastating for their families.

  4. That particular location should have been sorted out years ago, I knew when it was first reported before pictures and film were shown where it happened and the victims would be more likely to be vulnerable and elderly
