Two people died when a driver slammed into their car as they were leaving a drive-thru in Los Angelesβ Exposition Park neighborhood early Sunday morning. The driver ran from the scene but was arrested a short time later.

Both vehicles were facing east on the wrong side of the road. Please turn right after exiting a drive thru. Do not make a left turn on a road that has close double yellow lanes. Itβs dangerous when you have to watch out for incoming vehicles from both sides, rather than one side of incoming vehicles if you just take your time and turn right.

There seems to be an epidemic of hit and run drivers lately. I watch a lot of live police scanner streamers from different cities, who cover / video accident scenes and never in my life did I see so many hit and runs. Sometimes the driver is drunk , crashes the car and takes off on foot so as not to get a DUI charge ( when the police find them they always say the car was "stolen"). But the worst are those who strike a pedestrian or another occupied vehicle and flee on foot or in the car. What kind of scum injures someone and then just leaves them to die in the street without calling for aid??! Sometimes these drivers don't have a license, insurance, are wanted for something, are illegal or the car is stolen. Whatever the reason, there is no excuse for this type of sociopathic behavior. It's totally out of control, and something must be done!

This is very tragic. The video shows the couple turned left into upcoming traffic. A comment on another video said the male was driving? The jeep driver should not have ran. Be careful when you drive.
