You could have given the Germans another battleship so at least the number of guns was equal on each side…..
So You're saying the Nazis had 0 chance of finishing Graf Zepplien or H39
Interesting how some ships that are good , and politicians have a hand in it changing the specs for a cheaper moddel. and in the end so many compromises are made they turn out more expensive than the original.
A bit like a battle ship and its battle cruiser versions , the battle cruisers are always more expensive than the full on battle ships.
Still the 1920s was a time of new ideas and concepts . as ww1 showed what did work and what did not. some where on paper brilian in practice awfull. and visa versa.
PS. I discoverd a nice little source to find what nations actualy wanted . the unions/ labour parties / socialist papers.
I came a cross a few workers press publications against Fleetlaws . as those had to be made and voted in to parlement .the concept drafts mostly got burried and imposible to find in the archives , But those publications and leaflets outline those plans. Quite an interesting read as they pull out all the stops on costs and economics .
Attn: Dr. Clarke-for whatever reason, I keep getting a playback error message when Attempting to playback this long patrol. May I suggest hiring Drachinifel as a tech consultant?
Hey, it finally worked on the fourth attempt.
Tries to put on light entertainment while answering the comments, winds up with the English avenging the Battle of Denmark Straight.
I would have been happy to watch the attack in full 👍🏻😉
