  1. Couldn't the F-35's done an end-around and tagged the bombers before they got to their launch points? Killing every Chinese fighter is useless if you are going to lose the fleet. Not the best application of stealth.

  2. Great video but I just can't get behind the thinking that china would attack with less planes than they could come up against. They are in thier own backyard, there is no way they would expect to win superiority with less planes, suprise attack or not.

  3. I think the US would possibly be able to help defend, but would sustain such losses that it would devastate its capabilities. China has great tech and so many forces especially anti ship missiles that it would be hard to stop.

  4. In real life wouldn't you want your pilots to be able to get home once they fire their missiles and/or have a little dog fight? By making the Chinese side fight to the death, you can over load them with missiles, which is unrealistic. They would need external fuel tanks or carry less missiles to lighten the load.

  5. It shouldn't be a surprise that a Naval battle against China near their mainland is a suicide march for an American Fleet as much as it pains me to say that. In other words let peace prevail.

  6. I think J-10C needs a RCS decrease compared to J-10A model due to DSI and stealth coating applied.
Outside the technical side of things, I think China would’ve used way more aircraft for this scenario, as historically a carrier air wing is far outnumbered by its land counterpart.
I do wish to see the newer AKF-98A stealth cruise missile and the H-6K carried ballistic missile in action, although I do get that the game simply cannot handle such at the moment.

That’s pretty much all the complaints I have regarding the Chinese side.

P.s. I’m not complaining about this, but I don’t think anybody irl will put a carrier 200 mi away from hostile coast. It will be spammed to death as even assuming perfect interception rate the costal missile battery can simply out trade the fleet’s interceptor missiles.

  7. So you have players flying on Taiwan side but all AI for the Chinese.
    What are you expecting?
The Chinese would have fired hundreds cruise missile first then maybe the fighters would be used.
Gotta love how the chinese missiles randomly change flight direction and literly stear away from enemy aircraft.
    Extremely unrealustic and complete bias

  8. This was a good video, I think with modern warfare that one AWAC Plane would be well in front of the main Carrier group, by at least a 200 miles with at least 6 escorts with a few of those 50 or so miles ahead of the forward AWACS, more so if it was near China . I would also think their would be picket destroyer group that would be way in front of the Carrier group clearing the way and offering missile support to the forward AWACS and Air patrol. You would probably have another AWACS air patrol to the back of the carrier group especially if China had already attacked Twain , the aircraft carrier group will be on full alert in that area and would probably dictate the extra Air patrol aircraft, and would see the Chinese aircraft coming well before they even reached the Chinese Coast because that's how we always operate near hostel shorelines

  9. lol…the 7th fleet even can not protect itseld during sino~usa showhands, let alone taiwan.
All usa military assets in japan/korea/guam would be razed minutes hours after usa~china showhand.

  10. I wish you could mute individual players in these vids.

No idea how THIS video ends, either. Got to see the beginning, and then one of your players started self-absorbed ranting.

Love most of your vids. There are some I can't sit through.

  11. Strange that you use weapons that haven’t entered service for now, is that not a bit cheating?

And PL-15 can be retarget if the initial target are missed, AWACS can give them new targets via data links, including against ships, if that was made this battle would have been way more messy…

  12. Awesome as always! However, there is no way China could get that many planes in the air without that much activity being picked up by satellite surveillance, and allowing the Americans to get aircraft into the air from the carriers and Okinawa.

  13. You could just say the Chinese YJ-12s malfunctioned and failed because they're Chinese missiles and Chinese tech has a bad habit of just…fucking not working lmao Either through corruption, shoddy parts, or whatever

  14. 2025, but still no F-35C's on the carrier?

I have read that the Navy has adjusted their plans and now intends to have one wing of 14 tails of F-35C's per air wing by 2025. (down from 2 squadrons of 10 tails per air wing in previous plans in order to deploy these air wings faster.)

  15. Also, I'd suggest that the Arleigh Burkes missile defense would be much more effective than seen here. SM-2's should be more effective than seen here. Game might be modeling old 90's block SM-2's. There would also be SM-6 ERAM's, RIM-162 Evolved Seasparrows and RIM-116 Rolling Airframe missiles. It's much harder to get cruise missiles through to hit a fleet than you'd think.

  16. I think in addition to the US anti-air/missile defense ships you need Aussie, Brit, and in particular Japanese additions to the US fleet.
A real defense of Taiwan WILL include those ships augmenting the US carrier fleet. Because the west gets one, and only one, chance to stop an invasion of Taiwan. If China gets land based anti-air and anti-ship missiles in Taiwan it's all over.

  17. When you're talking about the H-6j attack @12:37 and the use of the YJ-12 anti-ship missiles, specifically the seeker-head and the program ability to go after specific ships; I'd like to raise the question of how did the H-6j weapons officer get the specific position of the 7th Fleet? If they got it from a RORSAT then that data should be several hours old and they would need Ocean Recon variant of the TU-95 Bear to program the seeker-heads on the YJ-12. Furthermore these TU-95 Recon aircraft would need to turn on their radars to get a more precise position of the CV and be at the leading edge of the attack in order to rely the info back to the bombers. The simulation should include these types of aircraft because if the TU-95's get shot down before they can relay the coords to the H-6j's then the H-6j's would effectively be firing blind or would be forced to turn on their radars. I mention this because the USN ELINT capability is extraordinary and the USN would have attack subs off the coast of China with their ESM antennas up monitoring this type of raid. The info would get passed to the 7th fleet in a matter of seconds and it's doubtful the H-6j's would be able to launch because the TU-95's would be blown out of the air by CAP.
Edit: Yes I know you are sending KJ-2000's but theres no info if these can relay targeting package info to the H-6j's. Also, and this is a BIG one, they can only track 100 targets at a time. Plus the USN has the ability to jam these type of phased array AWACS. Even if they did have the tech to relay target package info to the H-6j's, the KJ-2000's would need to get extremely close to the surface ships to burn-through the jamming.

  19. Grammar Nazi here: Not "…less long-range ASMs…". "…FEWER long range ASMs…" (sic). If you're going to describe WW3 please do it grammatically. Otherwise a very enjoyable presentation. The technical details seem plausible, I'll take your word for it. The extreme violence is very satisfying, the real thing would be the best fireworks display ever.

  20. Would be amusing to run under Harpoon 4, Harpoon V (for the miniatures grognards), and Command: Air and Naval Operations. All make different assumptions about targeting, seekers, defenses, and flight characteristics.
