Robert Saleh is worth more to the Packers than almost any player they could trade for before the deadline. Plus Jags fan and Boston sports radio personality Kendra Middleton joins us to talk the Urban Meyer disaster, Doug Pedersonโ€™s bromance with his OC, the Trevor Lawrence conundrum and more.

  1. That line of story for the Brazil game is just so sad. Yes, the field was terrible, absolutely. Now, the thing about players not being able to leave their hotel rooms is just absurd. Do you guys know what is the crime rate in Philly? Or, in her case, Jacksonville? Compare that to Sรฃo Paulo, please. This is just stupid, quite sincerely.

  2. If we lose Hafley, at least we have Saleh as a back up plan. But I really donโ€™t see Hafley getting a head coaching job next year. Thatโ€™s packers fans loving our guy a little too much haha. Defensive coordinators are not getting many head coach opportunities in the NFL. Hafley would have to be amazing for a few years before that option came up.

  3. Is this supposed to be an expert guest?? Haha yikes Robert Kraft is a bad owner??? McCarthy has been bad in Dallas? Who has more wins than McCarthy over the last 4 years? List is prolly pretty small.

  4. The Packers are not good enough to have a trap game. This is the nfl guys, if you dont come to play you will get beat. Come on is not like the packers have won anything in a very long time.

  5. Former Packer Quarterbacks get the blame for everything. Favre with misusing government funds, Rodgers and the Jets woes and Pederson with the Jaguars. What next? Love going to get the blame for making football way more exciting the run of the mill NFL experience this season.

  6. You seem to be confused in defining your terminology. There is NOTHING WRONG with hiring QUALIFIED family members or friends and it is an abuse of the term nepotism or cronyism. The whole point of an objection to it is ONLY in the person being UNQUALIFIED not the act itself. There are hundreds of success stories of hiring family members and friends in the NFL. Success in the NFL is determined by how many buy into the system. The most disruptive thing in the NFL is players or coaches not agreeing with the system and going rouge. An example is Bill Belichick had a system and he hires coaches that bought into it and installed it. His tree of coaches have had very little success trying to do the same elsewhere on their own. On the other hand you have the Shanahans and the Ryans who deemed their own family members as qualified and they were correct and they had great success on their own. Belichick's coaches were deemed very qualified yet failed when hired elsewhere and those hired in what you call nepotism thrived on their own. The term is only meant for hiring unqualified friends or family members not for the qualified. Hacks use it universally just because it is a friend or family member. You hire friends because they already buy into your system and football worldview. Barry is an example of true cronyism because he has had little success and is well traveled because of it and he was not the most qualified candidate. But for the most part the examples in the NFL of friends and family hires are good ones. It is not the main cause of failure in the NFL, in fact, it is the opposite. Hiring the one deemed "most qualified" has been true cause of failure. Look at Josh McDaniel or the whole Belichick tree of coaches or the Doug Peterson situation where you have coaches who have won SBs but have zero success elsewhere. Then you have the least qualified, guys like Sean McVay and other inexperienced young hires who thrive big time while hiring friends and family to achieve the success. Your logic is upside down here.

  9. Saleh joining the Packers and placing his focus on offense will help the Packers but it's a Huge win for Saleh as well to be able to focus now on the offensive side of the ball!

  10. Max Crosby on the Packers would be AMAZING. But you're likely right, it's not going to happen.

And they shouldn't touch our offense other than maybe an O-line but that's not even a story I've heard about

  12. I would be all in for a Preston LVN and a 2nd round pick for Maxx Crosby. Offload Preston contract. Let Enagbare and Cox be your rotational players. Crosby is young. Yes expensive but that front 4 is elite. Could win you Super Bowl. Raiders get a top 15 pick on Dline and a top 60 pick

  13. Saleh being here is genius. He and Lafleur can scout what the Jags might do defensively and counter it. Hafley can also pick his brain, they did work together in SF. He's not an official part of the staff, he's here to give positive input to Lafleur. They are close and probably figured, why not, Saleh is free and Lafleur probably said come give me a hand for awhile. He's not stepping on anyone's toes (Hafley). He's just here to help and observe. It's a win win situation. This defense is well on it's way to being great. Remember it takes awhile for players to adjust to a new scheme. They are getting better every week. The halftime adjustments have been phenomenal so far. If the offense starts cooking like it should, the defense will also thrive. This team could be dynamic down the stretch if they stay relatively healthy. GPG!!
