  1. You forgot about Marine corps base Camp Pendleton which houses HMH HMM and v22 ospreys along with air defenses artillery all ground forces also along with that just inland you have USMCAS Yuma naval Air station El Centro and Marine Corps Base 29 palms. All within close proximity of San Diego

  2. Just FYI, there are always 2x F-15Cs on 15min alert, sitting at Riverside AFRES base. They always have tanker support and backfill support out of Fresno ANGB (more eagles). Great scenario design!!!

  3. As a veteran, contractor, marine, born and raised in San Diego I can say this whole scenario is inaccurate and missing a wealth of assets. Our defenses are astounding in SanDiego County. One of the best in the country. They would have been annihilated rapidly.

  4. I was rooting for the Chinese as they could’ve overwhelmed the defense network. The got maybe 1-2 at most. They were happy until they themselves got shot out of the sky. Also, will future F-35s include a gun? #murica

  5. Uhmmmmm you are forgetting the subs and the marines are flying nothing but supers and or F-35s plus the EF-18G would be attached to each carrier group so this is super unrealistic as all hell

  6. The U.S. Military 'Failed Miserably' in a Fake Battle Over Taiwan 22 times.

Center for a New American Security (CNAS) ran war games simulating a direct U.S. hot war with China.

CNAS is funded by the Pentagon and by military-industrial complex corporations Northrop Grumman, Raytheon, and Lockheed Martin, as well as the Taipei Economic and Cultural Representative Office, which as Antiwar’s Dave DeCamp notes is the de facto Taiwanese embassy in the U.S. The Pentagon has been fighting wars the same way for decades. What happens if someone is taking notes? U.S. forces did not accomplish their goals in a series of recent wargames.

The flunked exercises, which took place last October, are a red flag that the way the military has operated for years isn't going to fly against today's enemies. Specifically, a simulated adversary that has studied the American way of war for decades managed to run rings around U.S. forces, defeating them decisively. "They knew exactly what we're going to do before we did it," Gen. John Hyten, Vice Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, revealed at an industry event. While Hyten did not disclose the name of the wargame (it's classifed), he did say that one of the exercises focused exclusively on a brawl between U.S. and Chinese forces fighting over Taiwanβ€”a scenario that seems increasingly likely. This is a war that only China will win!

  8. While im a bit foggy trying to remember the distance but wouldnt there also be additional assets comming from the Marine Corps base at Camp Pendelton should only be around 30/40 miles north of San Diego and could be part of a second wave of fighters using drop tanks for the extra range to get there as fast as possible. I was ground side so I didnt hang around the air strip there very much so I wouldnt know the assets if there were any based there to begin with.

  9. Time to unleash hell and take out the CHinese ports and satellites and send the CCP back in time. I would hope this is happening at the same time we were being attacked.

  10. Could china attack the US mainland? Is it possible? Yes, its very possible. But the way china would do it isn't the most legal per say.

the 3M-54 Klub missile, has a very dangerous launch option. It can be launched from civilian ships. The Klub missile can come with a self contained 4 tube shipping container launch system. dozens, even 100's of these could be loaded onto container ships each with a 200-300km range. this would or could allow a saturation of targets with conventional weapons up and down the US Coast.

The only way to stop such an attack would be boarding each and every container ship before it came within 180 miles of the US shore line, now while this is inside the economic exclusion zone, which could be very tricky from a legal stand point.

  11. What a self entertaining thing… In real life, China don't have any motivation to attack any other countries. To attack US land only happens when take revenge on US attacking China. When it ever happens, it could not be like this scenario. It would be missiles dropping from outpace, at a speed over 15 mach, with nuc heads.

  12. We should never pick on China as USA has so much military bases abroad and hence their aim of trying to dominate world militarily, compared to China who has built up it's weaponry mainly for defence of China which she must do in face of USA's record and history of starting wars , bombing, invading and killing people even civilians as in Iraq, Syria, Libya, Afghanistan wars and their arrogant regime change policy and their involvement in producing war labs
