  1. PokeTubers are still calling Monster Taming Genre games clones seriously Coromon is a game inspired some things by Pokemon but overall it has it's own awesome things to separate it apart from Pokemon.🤦‍♂️ I just wish some PokeTubers would get the genre right at least Johto Jonny calls the genre the way it is and appreciate it.

  2. In my opinion, the more monster taming games the better. That gives people choices on what characters to play, what kind of game they collect monsters in, an action game, a rogue like, a turn based game, a shooter, etc… There will be different stories, different ideas, different gameplay, and all sorts of awesome monsters to raise!

  3. Didn't you make a video like this already like months ago? Coromon is the closest any other Monster taming game has been to Pokemon, so the comparison is bound to happen. Some people will love it, some people will hate on it for how close it is to Pokemon. It is what it is. Can't win them all.

  4. I swear Pokémon fan’s are some of the most volatile people out there…i was always more of a Digimon kid growing up, just always thought the designs were a lot cooler and i remember back then if you spoke to any Pokémon fan about Digimon they would look at you with the most horrifying look of distain simply for preferring one monster raising game over another…because apparently Pokémon is the only monster raising game allowed…ever…and anything that isn’t Pokémon is just a cheap clone and you’re an idiot for liking it

Just imagine if Mario fan’s lynched every platformer for being a “Mario Clone”…it really is such a sad and closed minded mentality to have…

  5. Is like they wont acept stuff like this being brought over originalità. Wasnt why fangames arent made of at First? I personaly i do hate people task like being ehm whiny 3 year old like kid complaing everything until they shit off. Is under controll. Plus i hate the constant leaks being under the victim of Pokémon because It ruins the development karma

  6. I, for one, have been SO EXCITED for this to launch on the switch. I dumped 30 or 40 hours into the mobile demo alone. From the pixel art to the mon designs to the music, everything is really excellent. Shoot, the overall sound design itself is unbelievably great. Similar to Pokémon though it may be, Coromon brings enough interesting twists on familiar features as well as entirely new mechanics to the table that it successfully earns a spot at the table. And as a shiny hunter, the potent/perfect system is just dope.

  7. There will always be people who think that the game that popularizes some gameplay concept owns it. Just let 'em say whatever they want. Those of us who have moved past Pokemon will be over here playing the better monster taming games.

  8. Coromon is basicly what I would have wanted from Pokémon if it would have stayed 2D. The pixel art is AMAZING and they have actual backgrounds and not just some color splotches like the 2D games had. Add that to an actual decent story and some nice quality of life things and that is why Coromon is an important game for this genre.

  9. i've never understood why every taming game is called a pokemon clone, but nobody says that every fps is a doom clone or every platformer is a super mario clone.

  10. honest here, i have just scrolled over the video mainly cause it doesn't take a genius to understand competition in a market can bring great thing to consumers, the monster taming market has been monopolized by Game Freak for far to long to the point you are starting to see the ramifications of such problem aka terrible, unfinished, overpriced games, its the same if you look at ea's fifa for exemple they have a monopoly on football games so they can cut corners release shit and still sell
Any other reason for why these sort of games should exist in all honesty, inconsequential to the greater scheme of things.

  11. Let's be real here. Coromon's story is a lot more interesting than anything Pokemon ever did. Is it groundbreaking? Absolutely not. But it is fun and intriguing enough to actually keep you wanting to continue the story instead of just being background noise.

Also, the minor NPCs have more personality with their 2-4 sentences than many popular JRPGs have in their main cast.
