Hey Randy, I'm a School Bus driver. And the top air gauge is the primary and the second glair gauge is the secondary. And no the bus won't roll. At 60 psi or more the low air warning will come on which is an audio and light on the dash. Now on some buses 40 psi and lower the spring brakes will activate… now that air leak by the door is more likely the seal the the emergency release on the door. Which was somewhere on top of the door…any questions you may have on the bus just ask me. I've been driving school buses for over 25 years. And I've been a fan of yours for about 6 months now. And yes you have to have a CDL to drive that bus.
Hey, quick question, did Mike pass away?
The thing on the window is a tracker
Oh man, id sand that van, rhino line the whole exterior and put her to work
I’ve driven a few CNG light commercial trucks in Australia, all of them had constant issues with ignition failures and horrible fuel consumption!
Cheers Pat🇦🇺
Dude channel is call auto auction rebuilt but hasn’t fix a single shit
Great video Randy. All of the stuff you bid on has some great potential. The school bus could of had some great potential. Thought the van on CNG was pretty cool as well. Keep up the great stuff as always.👍
I have had several at&t vehicles that thing you were asking about on the side of the van is a lockbox you will see them on every At&t vehicle it is a spare key but the mechanic shop is the one with the keys to the lockbox so they can leave the vehicles at the maintenance shop without leaving the keys in the vehicles
My uncle had one of those vans to haul his tools back when I worked under him as a sub contractor. It blew spark plugs multiple times. Took us like 10 hrs to tap it and do the sleeve thing. Started going down the road for 5 mins just for it to blow right back out. It was yerrible lol.
If you do ever get that F350 the first thing that needs to go is that diesel exhaust fluid and diesel particulate filter those are trash. I hate the new trucks they’re junk and that’s the only reason they’re nice trucks and nice engines but once I put that death on there, I’m not buying it no matter what the price is
If the air fails, you aren't going anywhere. The air actually keeps the brakes off so if there is no brakes she is locked up tight.
Rear brake chambers are spring brakes. It uses air pressure to release the spring brake which is the parking brake. If you loose air pressure it sets the spring brake or “parking brake” and stops the vehicle. Also if you get less than 20 psi in the system it automatically set the parking brake.
Fleet mobile smart dot is to track maintenance
Welp, that school bus is called the Saf-T-Liner C2, the engine is a Mercedes-Benz MBE OM926 engine, the strobe light is a little white light on the roof, the warning light system is easy once you get it. I can tell you anything you wanna know about them.
That 5.4 does not have the cam phaser issue. The 5.4 3valve is in the f150 expedition ECT .. not that van .
On a diesel like the school bus to go from r to drive you should always go to neutral first to protect trans.
Wow! That “junk” school bus is 100x better than our 25 year old junkers!
I believe the air pressure is used to open the brake shoes. They are normally closed by spring pressure.
No the brakes lock up so no the bus won’t run away
It’s not going any place as you set the parking brake the wheel lock not to worry
You can change the bed and a pickup out of it
Crazy as hell 🤣🤣🤣 you and Mike ….
3:58 they won't regen/burn off until up to operation temperature
Randy you are my favorite friend
Omfg a school bus yesssss is that’s my dream right there no idea why but I always loved school buses
