A black Omaha, Nebraska woman says a now former cop deliberately put trash on her car.
Someone had been dumping trash on Quatisha Valentine’s car since the summer. She set up a camera to catch the culprit. To her surprise, it was William Klees on video dumping trash on her vehicle.
Kless resigned from the Omaha police department after being cited for criminal mischief.
Omaha Police Chief Todd Schmaderer said the following about the incident.
“Officer Klees has completely disrupted the peace and sense of safety for Ms. Valentine. His actions are not indicative of the values of the hard-working women and men of the Omaha Police Department. His conduct is unbecoming of an officer and warrants his removal from the OPD.”

In many locations when a Sister calls the police for help, they have not answered leaving the victim vulnerable. One thing I notice here on the west coast, I've seen banners showing an image of a Black woman with a mask on with the words at the top that says "Defund the Police." I wonder where it came from and why is are the images of Sisters being sacrificed for this message when of all people we need the police so profoundly? They will not show is where this perception is coming from. So when I see the rise in police harassment towards the melaninated women of our community, I think of what the misperception of us is floating out there.
