Russian forces in #Ukraine have shown how they like to raise #flags that belong to their heritage, from Imperial times to the Soviet Union, can the same be said about Americans?

  1. The Lost Cause has to be one of the most enduring and impactful pseudohistorical narratives in American history. It baffles me how people that claim to appreciate history can defend the Confederacy or that flag.

  2. America is about to split in two. We don’t mess with confederates they are the sore losers who lost the civil war in United States. They hate on people in the own country people for not choosing to go to war. Especially minorities. Every time a democrat is in the office these dudes start attacking civilians and democrats Smdh. They call theyselves Americans but you can’t even go to they neighborhoods as a. American born American. Annoying. But they want you to vote the same as them. Smh

  3. Anyone who flies that flag flies the flag of traitors. The confederacy is no heritage to be proud of. They faught for slavery and lost. Their "heritage" is one of shame and defeat. Pathetic.

  4. No, it isn't common in the military as far as flown over bases and such. It's more so for regiments or something to that nature.
Since most of our military might derives from the south, it is part of their heritage.
The Dixie Cross stands for rebellion and resilience. It's the KKK that has twisted it's meaning.
Plenty of black Americans understand the true meaning of the flag.
Black soldiers actually fought for the South as well during our War Between the States.
They don't want you to know that.

Also, it isn't a "Confederate" flag as it didn't represent the entirety of the CSA.
It was flown in battle only.

Lastly, by Act of Congress, the Battle flag is a " American Banner of War", therefore, it can be flown, just not over US government buildings.

  5. As a Pennsylvanian I see no problem with Confederate flags or statues. As long as you're not trying to cause violence to anyone else, you should have that right to celebrate or bring attention to your history or heritage.

  6. I mean to say the rebel flag is racist is the same way the flag with 13 is racist a rebellion (THAT ALSO HAD SLAVES) not to mention the union had slaves too just because they weren’t farm property doesn’t mean anything they still weren’t seen as equal aswell most of the south was too poor for slaves most of us were farmers I’m so sick of fools trying to tell me my history was wrong just because of the damn slaves

  7. In the military it doesn’t matter what race you are because it’s not like that and it’s not like what Joe Biden or Obama says because people are a family and even if they don’t like each other personally nine times out of 10 it has nothing to do with the color of their skin but their attitudes. My husband play basketball and was best friends with the black guys and he got along with all the Latinos in white guys except this one Latino guy with him he worked, and he and Steve Byrd used to fight all the time and argue.. Steve was really petty and a bit snobby, and he was nice to me, but he and my husband would’ve fought like brothers in wartime, & they got along fine, 90.% of the time but that was it 10% of the time they would annoy each other, and they just didn’t care for each other for the most part

  8. It's not considered a Confederate flag, more of a Dixie or southern American flag. It shows the difference from a much more secluded, disciplined north, from a rowdy, ragtag gun south.
