Concrete Thinking

I called this first track Concrete Thinking because it relates to the theory that strict, simple sentences shouldn’t be used to establish a way of living. For example, “the body and mind are separate.” or “the body and mind are one.” These are both concrete statements because they can be true and false. A lot more information must be addressed, leaving these simple statements with no room to thrive. If people follow concrete thoughts too much, they can be led to extremes. At least, that’s what I’ve observed.
It’s basically confirmation bias, and I’d love to write something about this in a book one day.
The artwork attempts to make one of those illusions of an object between two people. I thought about a lethal object in the middle of two people who seemed to be talking in a friendly manner to each other, giving the impression of kindness when it really meant deceit, but it didn’t look like it turned out that way in the end. If these became official tracks, I’m sure I would have more experienced people who would know my aim.
As usual for my albums, the first track is a collection of voice memos, rejected tracks, and random noises I’ve picked up since my last album. I look forward to making these opening tracks because it’s something to listen back on for many years, like an auditory time capsule. I hope I don’t get told off for using others’ voices, but these aren’t official tracks, so I’m not getting anything out of it.

Information Condensation is my fourth “album” with 12 tracks of varying alternative messages and experiments. Messages include that nothing is set in stone, education can be improved, quick fixes don’t work, and you can learn so much with so little (hence the album title). I also decided to make a track for each member of my family. I hope they don’t mind.
The artwork was made using Microsoft Word and features random documents and previous projects I’ve worked on, such as old EMVs, stories, health charts, and posters. I then decided to add lines, stars, and hearts for added effect. The font I used for the title was Posterama.
This album was made using Logic Pro on my iMac and recorded using a Shure SM7b with a Tonor Booster. These are not official tracks but more like “printed ideas”. I’m not the most experienced musician, so I know these are not at their best (with timing issues and the vocals way too quiet), but I share them anyway for safekeeping.
I will get better at making music. More will be made, along with Epic Memory Videos and other surprises in the future. Subscribe so that you don’t miss out.
Stay phunky!
Jimi
