Concerns over Artscape planning raised in letter

Four of Artscape’s biggest partners wrote a letter to Baltimore City officials to raise concerns about whether the festival will even take place this year. It has been three years since the city has put on the country’s biggest outdoor public arts festival. The Baltimore Office of Promotion and the Arts, which organizes the festival, initially said it intended to have the festival the weekend of Sept. 15, which fell on the Jewish holiday of Rosh Hashanah. The date was then moved to Sept. 20-24, and then shortened to just the weekend.
