Original Donphan is getting slept on in this meta. I promise. EQ, Rapid Spin, Ice Shard, Knockoff/Rocks. With Boots and Sturdy that allows the use of Adamant, for 372 attack. Higher than most Tusk sets and all Treads sets.

I think the reason the some of the past pokemon are "not fully evolved" is because they are "unnatural" evolutions, in other words they require a trainer to evolve and in the distant past, wigglytuff, Magnezone, and Mismagius didn't exist.

My headcanon about Scream Tail is that it was around before Moon Stones existed (at least on Earth).

my only problem with the ancient paradox pokemon is that they have such good stats its hard for me to believe that they got weaker to evolve into their newer forms (like how great tusk apparently evolved into donphan).

Glad to see Scream Tail gets some love. It was my go-to support for Charizard raids. It just FEASTED and stacked allies with Helping hands and screens. Also keep a separate one for PvP, but I do agree it should have gotten more utility attacks.
