  1. "From PC to Consoles, how a strategy epic evolved into a pile of steaming garbage, launched incomplete for the sake of a quick buck turn around and a spit in the face to the longterm fans"

  2. 1: truly unparalleled groundbreaking tech enabled gameplay with great writing and voice acting and well balanced asymmetrical warfare.
2: add a few hit and miss gimmicks and polish it a bit in a new setting
3: console money printer go brrrr

  4. As this video shows… Relic lost it all since DOW3 and now COH3 bring nothing to the table compared to 1 and 2. i remember how immersive was the Cold tech in COH2, and how modern was COH1 DX10 update. COH3 is just nothing but a glitchy mess. all u have to do to see it is to look at the main menu. and that will tell u everything.

  5. does this game have that function to "slow down gameplay" like Call to Arms, by any chance, does anyone know? I only play single player campaigns, i dont fucks with multiplayer.

  6. Appreciate the history lesson, but disappointed that you didn’t cover the game on consoles? How does the control scheme work on controller, performance metrics, graphical makeup etc.

  7. COH3 is a 60 dollar "Early Access" experience and in terms of multiplayer it really doesn't have much to offer compared to previous games. COH2 has double the amount of online players at any given time.

  8. Sorry, but this video is not up to your standards Alex, because it is dishonest and obviously biased because of the sponsorship. CoH 3 is a step-down from CoH 2 tech, not to even talk about how it makes no strides forward, despite it being the year 2023. It's like Relic came to you and told you "you can talk all you want about 1 and 2, but for 3, just say the challenge was bringing it to consoles, and then end the video".

  9. I got the physical launch edition day one. As a CoH fan since day one (and former PC gamer) i had to get it. It is obviously not using all of the PS5's power, but it is still fun. Idk why there is no in game voice chat so I would have to make a party with the randoms i matchmake with. The controller works VEEEERY well (aside from some unit upgrades) you almost don't miss a mouse&keyboard. I recommend all my PS5 gamers to get it. The more we support relic, the more RTSs we will get on console. I no longer game on PC and missed CoH and AoE. Imagine relic ports dawn of war and the first two CoH for Console ! 👍🏼👍🏼😎

  10. COH1’s use of Havok genuinely changed the gameplay as they described in the video. COH2 with footprints in snow on the other hand was really just visual window dressing with no actual gameplay impact. Footprints in the snow might be helpful for evading guards in a stealth game but in an RTS you’re not going to win or lose games due to something like that.

The sad reality is that by 2013 when COH2 came out Relic was already well out of its golden age and in steep decline, which became very obvious with the complete failure of Dawn of War 3 just a couple years later. The studio was very much coasting on the reputation of its games from the 90s and 2000s by the time COH2 came out.

  11. Love ya DF, I know this is an essay video, but you gotta know we all want to see the DF technical analysis on how the game runs on Xbox Series X|S & PlayStation 5, and how it differs from the PC version & client. Also would like to hear how it performs with controller & console keyboard and mouse.

  12. All great points until the end. This was clearly sponsored and the end of the video showcasing the new game makes hardly the same quality of argument for the tech (because it can't; there's nothing notable about it).
