  1. Jesus…if I saved up a little bit and bought Faerie Mastermind, Esper Sentinel, Smothering Tithes, and Rhystic Studies…Just insane levels of card draw and ramp for such CHEAP mana cost cards.

  2. The Prof's deck is just straight up classic Azorius Flyers and I sorta love it. I pretty much exclusively play Azorius colors because I'm just that asshole, BUT I never have actually gotten to see Inniaz played yet because I was worried that the whole table would hate me instantly if I played him as a commander haha. But it's fun seeing the deck work. I made an Azorius Flyers deck that's a bit more specialized and focused on Bird Tribal just for fun as a more low powered deck but it's still just a really enjoyable way to play the game. Every card feels FUN even if it's not an Esper Sentinel or a *insert flashy, splashy blue/white spell*. I think the most fun part is how in order to make such decks work you often have to optimize a bit in order to keep the deck flowing nicely AND having win cons.

I've since sorta realized that my dream of having just Azorius Flyers isn't always the best for every strategy I wanted…so I've sorta moved into a more Azorius Knights/Pillowfort deck? It's actually mostly white with a splash of blue and Azorius colored cards. I wouldn't say it's CEDH territory at all, but given the 4 person format Harbin, Vanguard Aviator with a bunch of great white and blue cards and soldiers with immense value and a whole freaking swathe of pillowfort cards means I can outlast most other players and then use my commander to fly over with my creatures and MAKE them flyers. If not, then hey, I still have so many ways to pump out soldier tokens so fast that I can still overwhelm. But maybe I'm just newbie enough that I don't know how to do the Azorius Flyers strategy in a more competitive way but I kept feeling restrained by looking only for effective powerful flyers that fit into the deck archetype I wanted…so Harbin is great: I can build an Azorius identity deck while taking the most value out of the Soldier card type and all that comes with it and STILL make them all flyers with a 2 CMC Commander. Kinda my dream commander for that strategy honestly.

  3. why would shivam ping the card that is giving prof more card draw, rather than killing 2 things on prof's board… ping the creature that is giving them +1+1, and the -1-1 counter will kill the other creature. prof wouldve also lost the ability to pass creatures along too

  4. The best part of that Dan Scott Tattoo is that I know EXACTLY which one mana blue card that lets you look at (and rearrange if you wish) the top three cards of your library before deciding whether or not to shuffle before you draw that the art is from!

  5. Since I'm pretty sure almost everyone playing Inniaz will get this wrong (the video included), I'll point something out for your knowledge: if you receive a permanent due to Inniaz's ability and you leave the game (i.e., you die), the permanent is returned, not exiled (see rule 800.4a, where it says that control effects end). Shivam should've gotten his commander back on the battlefield when Prof died.

Rules about players leaving the game are generally unknown, so it's just something for everyone out there to keep in mind!
