Today’s case is out of the Low Country in South Carolina. University of South Carolina student Samantha Josephson was a senior about to graduate. She JUST got accepted into law school and had been dating her boyfriend Greg for about 2 years at the time. Things were great for Sami. However, all that changed in March of 2019 when she and her friends decided to go out for a fun night on the town to Five Points in Columbia South Carolina. Some of Samantha’s last moments were captured on CCTV footage. This is her heartbreaking true crime story 🙁

  1. Such a sad case. This was big news, I live in a neighboring state and this was widely talked about. I always check ubers drivers and license plates because of this case. Thank you for the well done case coverage!!

  2. Not too long ago I took an uber, he didnt ask for my name neither did I. We drove for 10 mins until we figured out that was not my ride.
Now it sends chills down my spine.

  3. It's so sad that Samantha got into a black car when she was waiting for a grey car.
We don't have Uber in my town, but stories like these make me never want to try it!!
When I used to party, I'd walk home before I'd ride with a stranger.
    RIP, Samantha 🙏🕊️

  4. I'm surprised that Samantha's boyfriend and friends tracked her in the opposite direction of her home and no one called the police.
I wonder if someone had found her, if she could've been saved with a blood transfusion (since she died of blood loss).

  5. You are right about parents just having a way of knowing things in their gut and heart. On Tuesday this week, I was getting a call from an unknown number…and I almost didn't answer it. I even looked at my phone, put it down, and started to walk away… but something told me "No you need to answer that phone call!" so i ran back to it really fast and answered and it was my husband calling me from the pharmacy because his phone had just died…he had gotten a call right before it died that our son was hurt at school. One of his classmates had pulled the chair out from under him when he was about to sit down and he fell and hit the back of his head and spine on the cabinets behind his desk. My son has a cyst on the right side of his brain and while it is not malignant or anything… him hitting his head or having a head injury can cause bleeding inside of the brain where that cyst is. So I was frantic and immediately picked him up from school ( which is right down the street form our house) and took him to get checked out at the DR and he was thankfully okay it was just a little bump and no concussion. But parents just have a way of knowing when there is something going on with their children.

  6. i don't know if it is universal but in Australia, the headrest comes off the top of the seat and have two metal prongs. They are designed to be used to break a window in case of an accident especially in water when car windows and doors won't open. who knows if this information will help. but it cant hurt.

  7. I’ve taken Ubers and Lyfts multiple times. With my husband, my girlfriends and maybe a guy friend with us or just me and one of other friend. And it’s most always in the late night or early morning hours. I’ve taken them in cities like Nashville, Cincinnati, Atlanta, but never, have I ever felt “unsafe” like I used to in the early 00’s while in college taking cabs to and from downtown bars and clubs. I learned early with ride sharing, when you think the car that is described to pick you up, be sure they have the Lyft or Uber sticker on the back window. Then when they roll down the window ASK THEM who they are there to pick up. Had a slightly unnerving incident with Lyft in a college town with me and just a friend when we were trying to figure this ride share thing out. Thankfully I continued to ask, “Who are you here to pick up?” My girlfriend was a tad (or more 😂) under the influence than I was. She had ran up to the car matching our instructions and already told the driver her name. But I had been the one to order and pay for the Lyft. After about 5 or 6 minutes or ACTUAL Lyft ride came. I asked him his name. To which the app provides and asked who he was there for. He was correct, and I don’t know what came of Creepy Creeperson😮

  8. I recently discovered your channel and am so impressed how thorough you are as you tell "your story" of the case at hand.
The indepth investigating of material makes you stand apart from others. Your empathy makes us feel for the victim as well.
You are a beautiful girl with a beautiful name and deserve to be recognized on these platforms. Keep up the excellent work and I'm so happy I found your channel!

  9. It has absolutely nothing to do with the case, but I had never heard of Drexel University and till I started working at my job. I work at a movie theater that is called The Drexel. And I remember when I looked up Drexel on Google one time and the university came up and I was baffled lolol

This is my first time hearing about it outside of me just seen it because of work-related reasons. Just very interesting
