How dare those wageslaves want a better existence and not to have to sacrifice all of their lives to live in poverty
There should be a wealth tax on the boomer generation to pay all young people a generous basic income seeing that the boomers have stolen their future.
Working to simply survive with little prospect to ultimately thrive is the recipe for not getting out of bed in the morning. If these milenials were given a copy of Das Kapital and a few hours listening to Dr. Richard Wolff, there'd be a socio-economicrevolution. Neosocialism is the only cure for the wage slavery and income inequality that has been inevitably caused by capitalism.
‘Social contract’ – mythical nonsense!
Mr Brewdog encompasses the selfish, greedy, smug, hypocritical outlook of those getting rich from others cheap labour…he espouses no philosophy there but his own need for greed
Some want instant fame blame cowell for all the people believing that they have talent ❤they can't cope with rejecting them
I always think of your call about labour repealing the Tory public order act, you were wrong and blamed weirdos not understanding 😂
tories dont want to talk about Brexit…they are trying to pretend it did not happen.
In 2019 could not stop talking about it.
Same amnesia around Blair being a self-confessed war criminal sending us to war under a lie about WMDs? Labour running out of money during the biggest economic boom the World has EVER seen in the late 90s early 2000s? Brown and Blair selling London to the Russians under Gold Visas? Labour selling our gold at rock bottom prices? There is nobody with more amnesia than Labour voters.
Poor james, his stage 5 trump derangement syndrome is going to take at least 4 years to recover, get well soon james
The Brewdog guy is a total grifter. He gets people to do "test" assignments for job applications then uses the work without paying them. And he can't keep his hands off the staff.
I hope that young people don't postpone their lives for 30 years like we did, we have become sick old people and the system doesn't even give us the care we need. who do we work for???the water bosses who have bonuses of millions for the bankers etc!!!
46:59 this guy pays nothing!
Brewdog? The company is well known in the creative industry for making designers pitch their work as part of the "interview process", before stealing the work, releasing without credit and pulling the job offer.
If you look at a lack of work ethic, perhaps look at a lack of rewarding work ethic while you're at it. Working hard is easy when you do it with a goal in mind. I just walked 10 miles this morning in not very enjoyable weather. What makes is fun is that I know it helps me stay in shape, it makes me look healthier and more attractive. If those 10 miles would make absolutely no difference for me in the long run in that way, it would have been an absolute chore. And I think work is exactly like that.
labour going overtake tories in one week
He must not have been liked internally within the Tory party because surly if he had friends he could Network and find a job. They love looking after there own.
tories been cleaning out what labour did when got in 2 times before , cant clean what they did yet
You cannot lose the game if you do not play.
The alternative is starvation
there has been an enormous increase in food bank usage
Brexit has led to the need for immigration and instead of blaming the mistakes on Brexit, immigrants get the blame
All i hear from my parents is how Labour are destroying the economy and making us all poor. They conveniently don't remember how any of this started, or even what the coalition did the minute THEY got in – hiked the retirement age, literally taking retirement money out of their pockets. And they all just lay down and took it
Universal credit is less than 7 pounds a day
Kemi's jab at the Chancellors gender was vile
What is wrong with being given a decent wage for work to cover rent bills? What's wrong with having a life rather than just surviving
The idea that it was easy for young people to buy houses in the past is nonsense. I can remember, back in the misty past, buying a house snd being so short of money to do it that, in order to wallpaper one room we had to buy one roll of wallpaper per week.
Desperate deflection from O'Brien.
Lunchtime and loads of young British people are working hard, so unfair to attack those on working on barely living wages. The man having a go at people apparently living the high life as a student – I did a degree in thd 90’s now its full on loans no one was living the high life I worked also as a student
The amount of funerals I had to go very early in the morning as they were poor funerals. These were people who had worked all their lives yet died due to cancer
The caller at 25:00 talking about her lazy workers not wanting to do more hours as it effects their UC – has it not occurred to her that she pays her employees so little that they qualify for UC in the first place?
Why oh why doesn’t JoB allow the caller to make their point before interrupting. The callers are really articulate and start their point and sometimes get misdirected which then means they have start again.
Re James Watt. Translation: I am not making enough money you should work harder so I make even more money than I do now.
Anyone else read what he said that way or is it just me?
"Those 30 and upwards have that courtesy"
me, in my late 20s remembering every manager who was a nightmare for "I need you in" only an hour in advance, and every single time I text if the bus was going to make me 2 minutes late
Sure, Jan.
The guy who was talking about working loads of hours to save for a house…i wonder how he'd get on trying to save now, after paying extortionate rent and the rest of our inflated living expenses.
The taxpayer is subsidising corporate payroll through UC because they more often than not, pay minimum wage. (Companies that may minimum wage would probably pay you less if they could get away with it)
Depending on where you live in the country, you might be giving half of your income to your landlord.
The greedy fatcats have been allowed to sit on their a$$es and let the rest of us work ourselves into the ground to add to their fortune.
Maybe younger people today are just more switched on than my generation was as they have access to info that we didn’t. It's no surprise they can't always find the motivation to work all hours!
As usual she was useless… Starmer doesn't even have to try … while he gets on with the JOB !!! The Cons continue to spiff out their lies … and the SPEAKER does nothing … he is as useless as the Cons …
Meanwhile Sir Two Teir is busy splashing our cash on dinghy people, and filling Zelenskyy pockets.
45:00 – Really? Considering the previous generations got it all in a grant!
Kemi Notgoodenoch sounds more like a Lobbyist for business, I think she's egging for a chairpersons job when she finally gets the boot
Buy to let mortgages should either be made illegal or very heavily regulated, and give the person renting the place more rights to buy it out for example, with protections in place that mean the land lord can't just turf them out before they hit x time they need to be there to get that right.
Weird how most of Western Europe has a better work life balance than the UK as they truly believe having quality time off is important yet in the UK we are driven to work extra hours. James isn't a bad bloke but his comments are once again misjudged.
Collective amnesia over Labour handling of the 2007 crash which we have never recovered from.
The corporate greed is at the heart of all this. The rich get richer and the poor get poorer. Been happening for decades.
