Historically rap was rooted in lyricism and respect was gained because rappers was writing their own stuff. Now music is too quickly produced for me to believe these new rap artists are even writing 75% of a song, which is sad because songs these days be barely 2 minutes. I don’t believe the mainstream rappers particularly females ones are writing all their raps. Rappers always collars and help each other edit their songs but today they are having whole verses written. It’s kind of unfortunate that such a beautiful skill is dying.
