  1. so Simon… just thinking here. Wouldn't it be more interesting to focus on that Baranquilla (sp) plant and what GREATER REGION is served then looked at the average wages and see if the difference was worth the violence (for Coke…) Just thinking here but there had to be a reason THAT plant was a focus of crooked investment in union busting… that said-I HATE Unions so go figure… My best guess with only this video to base on, Columbia produced coke is cheaper and likely gets pushed to surrounding regional markets (countries???) I mean how much coke is sold in columbia and is that worth coke-atlanta investing in murder? or is it a bigger picture.

  2. how much you want to bet Coke will try a DMCA or outright legal action to get this removed. thats why you have to keep the trade mark usages and use the phrase allegedly quite often. cant give them free ammo.

  3. Coca-Cola Swaziland. With a name like that, how could anything bad be happening??? That sounds like an amusement park! Going to Coca-Cola Swaziland for the day! It's going to be fun and rides. At least that's what Coca-Cola want you to think, soon you'll be slave labor for them!

  4. 16:09 this heavily depends if the water treatment plant follows safety guidelines. Normally If the water isnt desinfectd via chlorine its still slightly chlorinated at the end of treatment to make sure that it stays desinfected inside the canalisation until it reaches the furthest point from the treatment plant. We're talking 0.2-05mg/L of Free Chrlorine here (Canadian & Québec guidelines), its nowhere near enough to be "toxic" to humans and is completely safe for human consumption (its considered safe for consumption up to 4mg/L).

Now when it comes to diy purification and desinfection I prefer not to go too much into the subject as water treatment should really only be done by people educated in the field or who know what they're doing but for people interested P&G has some wonderful ressource on the subject of water purification.

  5. No, you dont understand. If corporations stopped doing shady things like hiring death squads and using child slaves to make their stuff, prices will go up! People dont like prices going up! The people demand low prices and by god the corporations are gonna give them to us. /s

Oh, but don't demand the ceo take a pay cut. He needs that billion dollar bonus or he'd starve only making 8 figures. :^)

  6. The biggest impact I see is the garnering of water resources. There are so many places where drinking water is scarce and Coca-Cola is converting it to sugar water. It is cheaper to drink Coke than to buy drinking water and thus the health issue. I see it in real-time in Mexico. Child labor is a thing in every developing country. It will work itself out. In the meantime, families need the money. Learning to read and write is overrated. If you don't like this kind of thing, don't patronize it. Vote with your dollars.
