The Star Wars sequel trilogy is the third trilogy of the main Star Wars franchise, an American space opera created by George Lucas. It is produced by Lucasfilm Ltd. and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. The trilogy consists of episodes VII through IX, chronologically following the prequel trilogy (Episodes I–III; 1999–2005) and the original trilogy (Episodes IV–VI; 1977–1983), serving as the final act of the “Skywalker Saga”. Lucas had planned a sequel trilogy as early as 1976, but canceled it by 1981. He produced only the first six episodes, and for a time described these as comprising the complete story. The sequel trilogy concept was revived when the Walt Disney Company entered negotiations to acquire Lucasfilm in 2011. Lucas produced new story treatments, but these were largely discarded. Both the acquisition and plans to produce the trilogy were announced in late 2012.
The first installment, The Force Awakens, was released on December 18, 2015, after a 10-year hiatus between the prequel and sequel trilogies. It was directed by J. J. Abrams who co-wrote the screenplay with Lawrence Kasdan and Michael Arndt. Original trilogy cast members including Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill, and Carrie Fisher reprised their roles, co-starring alongside franchise newcomers Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Adam Driver, and Oscar Isaac. The second installment, The Last Jedi, was released on December 15, 2017, with Rian Johnson as screenwriter and director, and most of the cast returning. The final installment, The Rise of Skywalker, was released on December 20, 2019. It was directed by Abrams, who co-wrote it with Chris Terrio.
The trilogy follows the orphan Rey and the plight of the Resistance against the First Order, which has risen from the fallen Galactic Empire. Rey learns the ways of the Force under Luke Skywalker and Leia Organa, and confronts Kylo Ren—the son of Leia and Han Solo, nephew of Luke, and grandson of Anakin Skywalker—who has fallen to the dark side. The first two films received positive reviews from critics, while the third received mixed reviews. The trilogy grossed over $4.4 billion at the box office worldwide, with each film surpassing $1 billion worldwide.

How I would describe this trilogy for people like me with 3 words. Hope, heartbreak, hate. 😂😂
Well to answer most so your questions, Carrie Fisher died before the filming of Episode 9 so they took cut footage from episode 7 of Leia and put it into Episode 9 I'll answer everything else after I watch the rest of the video.
Yes actually grandfather..
They had a chance to do something good after The force awakens but then totally forgot what Star Wars was about. Disney went for the money instead of being faithful to the story, killed Luke, brought back Palpatine..Just because with no reason whatsoever..it's just stupid and make no sence at all.
I like Rey"s character but they blew it, even George Lucas said so.
For me, Star Wars ended at the end of Return of the Jedi.
Hi Coby,
Great to see someone view the sequel trilogy with fresh eyes & love it rather than hear for the zillionth tine how this trilogy is trash from so called toxic fans. Just so you know, they are working on the script for a Rey centric movie in which she will form & train a new Jedi Order. It will be set 15 years after the events of "Rise of Skywalker."
I want your Star Wars '77 shirt lol. The year I was born
The Trooper that released Rey and dropped his weapon for her was Daniel Craig, James Bond himself.
😮😮😮 excellent reaction we all like the first one except how they handled on solo and that Hans son has turned the Darkside how cliché but it’s their fault they didn’t tell him about later. They thought if they hide the truth about him that he grew up with that no idea so he didn’t turn it upside. Didn’t you learn anything that no it is Power that’s how he can be turned when he finds secrets that the head Porty remember he was programmed and swore life oath to protect him and his children and his family he was there when when Ben was born, he held Ben in his arms played with him protected him, taught him things and he wants to kill him. He doesn’t wanna kill him cause he’s still his son. The son was best friend. Yes, it is pretty in the suit for the first one. I think after that the young kid takes over he still tall cause after episode seven he got injured. Somebody mugged him to steal his stuff. He was injured very badly and he died later after episode seven I think he died after episode eight but I don’t think so after episode seven Terry Fisher dies on the way home for episode eight in the airplane itself. She died mid flight. They didn’t even know she was dead till the plane tried to wake her up that she was sleeping on the floor was over and she was already dead so they had to use deleted scene seven CGI throughout the entire other to the other film episode nine gets worse my hair, but I’m glad you can enjoy Them if they hadn’t killed episode seven I wouldn’t hate me at all but the only get worse trust me, but there’s the Mandalorian the Kenobi series book of Boba Fett. There’s other good shows to take place five years after five years after episode six and 30 years before the sequel trilogy and now Asoka Tano, the princess of Anakin Skywalker has shown us the world between worlds inside her show so we know we can change things change the past things so we’ll see what the sequel Georgie when it’s all said and done thanks for the fun until next time
I thought these films were really good fun and really well made, and a lot of the "fan" anger annoys me. They're all flawed, of course, but so were the other six. It doesn't stop them being hugely entertaining. (Indeed much of the actual film-making is better in the sequels – although of course whether people like the stories is entirely subjective). I think the main "rage" was down to the small but vocal group of people who liked a lot of the "spin off" books that came out after the original movies and didn't like that the movies made different choices for the "legacy" characters.
I also agree that the sequels LOOK much better than the prequels (obviously this is largely down to the film-making/effects technology at the different times). But it does mean they feel more like the OT.
I'd like to point out that Aayla Secura, Barriss Offee, Luminara Unduli, and Ashoka Tano are all "Girl Jedi".
I was a fan of the Prequels when it really, really wasn’t cool to do so. (I sort of say in jest) but seriously I remember a time where the Original Trilogy fans cried that it wasn’t the same Star Wars and ruined their childhood. Yet I know 20 something’s who react on YouTube who say they are nostalgic for the Clone Wars because it’s the first SW content they enjoyed as a child. So technically it wasn’t even an Episodic movie.
It only makes sense that younger fans exposed this Star Wars for the first time would identify with the new episodes. That is how it should be. Personally though I have to say that the two directors played with characters like action figures as one writer tried to fix what the other did only for the first guy Abram’s to come in and try and spite the second and take back his story lines while characters I’ve spent thousands and thousands of hours in the lore of. I’ve always said I can’t get mad at a writer (like Lucas) for telling the story they want to tell but that’s not what happened here. Abrahms is a casual Star Wars fan. His writing was lazy. Force Awakens a rehash of A New Hope and The Last Skywalker trying to reclose and tie together a 9 chapter story with zero creativity. I want to enjoy all Star Wars but I can’t make myself like this.
I remember walking out of the theater after seeing The Force Awakens. The crowd was literally full of people who had come in at 5:00 AM that morning to watch the 6 movie marathon before the Force Awakens. Probably not a great idea considering that means seeing. Han and Leia finally get together minutes before finding out, “oh, they separated pretty early on and then Han dies.”
I can still remember my brother and I leaving and two others were with us (that we didn’t know) in an elevator and none of us said anything going down to the first floor. Silence.
eww nope no thanks
Really good to see the enjoyment and excitement through the trilogy. Great reaction. "Cheesy, but I like it". That's Star Wars!
You just got to enjoy it for what it is.I myself enjoyed them
For the algorithm and beyond.

Watch the Mandalorean next!!
My favorite reaction, "The bikini!"
