Coalition needs coal ‘in the system’ until nuclear can come online

Smart Energy Council Chief Executive John Grimes says the Coalition needs coal “in the system” until nuclear can come online.

“This is actually a plan for coal,” he told Sky News Australia.

“Now the coal fleet in Australia is absolutely clapped out, falling apart, and so nobody’s investing in new coal … because there’s no return on investment.”

  1. Nuclear is costly , coal is easy and cheaper , folks there is no world heating up the bottoms of the oceans are still cold , the water level on the statue of liberty hasn't moved up since it was erected .
It's all been a pumped up story to get people investing in something new , which they all pre-invested in .
