Indian indices opened on a positive note today with Nifty around 19,500.
The Sensex was up 297.98 points or 0.45% at 65,856.87, and the Nifty was up 94.00 points or 0.48% at 19,507.80. About 1505 shares advanced, 398 shares declined, and 103 shares unchanged.
Infosys, Hindalco Industries, Tech Mahindra, Wipro and Hero MotoCorp were among major gainers on the Nifty, while losers were Power Grid Corp, M&M, IndusInd Bank, BPCL and Bharti Airtel.
