Cleanup continues in Buffalo, NY as Erie County death toll rises over 30

Cleanup in the city of Buffalo, N.Y., and surrounding Erie County, continued on Wednesday with Mayor Byron Brown saying about 70 per cent of streets had been cleared.

Brown warned, however, the driving ban remained in effect to assist crews in the further clearing of roads. He also said power outages were now down to less than 1,000, and about 95 per cent of that amount is expected to be done by end of day.

Officials also provided an update on the death toll in Erie County, which includes the city of Buffalo, with 34 fatalities. Executive Mark Poloncarz said 26 of the individuals had been recovered in Buffalo, with seven in the suburbs of Cheektowaga, Depew and Amherst. He also said it was not yet known where one of the individuals’ bodies had been recovered.

  1. About the police officer that was shot…I don't feel sorry for that individual that was shot because there was a reason he was killed because of his lack of knowledge in his conduction as a police officer is why he is dead…this is another prime example if there was no police there would be no crime… another fallen goon of the government
