This is out of character for Nicole. Sociopathy is a spectrum and she's been shown to be on the end that does have some sort of feelings, and care for others even if she does put herself first most of the time, particularly towards Jecka.
She's had multple story lines that shows this, even if you completely discount that its from her POV.
The game just sucks and is badly written, he doesnt care for the demographic of the fanbase that he ended up with and decided to tell us 🖕🏼 essentially by trashing the plot and characters, inserting his own weird fetishes and torture pxrn.
