Thank you for being our familyβs trusted journalist for fifty years!!!You gave us tons of good and essential news. Whenever there was bad news to deliver though, you gave it to us straight but gently. Thank you for signing off with a smileβ¦it makes us feel like no matter what, itβs all going to be okay. God Bless you Mr. Scarborough. Happy retirement!!! Congratulations!!!
well since sue simmons did not appear at all on chuck scarborough's final broadcast, i would hope she at least watched his final broadcast from her home.
Chuck as a young man growing up in Westchester your voice and commitment to keep us updated in our crazy life was a comfort. I have been living in GA for the last 28 years but still miss hearing your steady voice on the local NBC channel. Thank you for being that guiding light thru the ups and downs of life in NY. All the best in your next chapter in life. You will be missed.
Thanks so much, Chuck! I watched you my entire life (Iβm 43). I loved you and Sue Simmons together. About 25 years ago, I was crossing 5th Ave with my mom and we saw you waiting on the opposite corner for the light to change. My mom and I got to your side, and you stopped briefly to say hi despite the light changing and having to head toward the studio right before the evening broadcast time. You have always been a light in dark times. I appreciate your service to our city and your commitment to journalism. Enjoy retirement. Youβve more than made your mark on this city. Hope to run into again somedayβ maybe youβll have more time to chat next time, lol.
During his(Scarborough's) tenure NBC has devolved into little more than yet another leftist lunatic propaganda outlet among the dinosaurs we now call 'the legacy media'
Thank you Mr. Scarborough for you fifty years of service on NBC and to the people of the NYC region. I watched Live at Five regularly when I was in elementary school and it was comforting and reassuring to know you were still manning the helm all these years later. Thanks for being a class act and enjoy your well-deserved retirement..
Chuck was a privilege and an honor as an news anchor of NBC News. News 4 New York will never the same without you. After Sue Simmons left back in 2012, It was my pleasure to watch News 4 New York. Congratulations on your retirement!!!!!ππΎπ We will miss you.
The real journalists are all but gone. Professionals like Chuck are no more. I'm going to miss his calming voice and demeanor. Good luck and enjoy your retirement, Chuck! β€οΈ

I'll never forget that time Sue Simmons jumped on Him
And said 'Fawk are you doin?' While they were still on Air….CLASSIC!!!
I met Mr. Scarborough back in 1985 at a George Benson/Natalie Cole concert at Lincoln Center….GOOD Memories!!!….GREAT Conversationalist!!!
