About Chosen of the Gods
The first book in the historical Kingpriest trilogy, which chronicles the origins and development of a noted figure from the Dragonlance Legends trilogy, linking this new series to one of the most popular trilogies in the entire Dragonlance saga.
The Kingpriests have reigned for centuries in the name of Paladine, the supreme god of good. But danger lurks in the empire’s heart. The Kingpriest has foreseen his own death, and dark forces converge on the Temple, vying to control the throne.
Following a prophetic dream, a high priestess of Paladine sets forth in search of a worker of miracles, one who can lead the way to the triumph of light over darkness: the Lightbringer, the true chosen of the gods.

Cool! I'm glad you're revisiting this trilogy. On social media fan sections, whenever they ask about favorite DL books OTHER THAN Weiss/Hickman novels, the Kingpriest trilogy is always at the top. Have a good one 👍
Finally
Chosen of the Gods is an amazing read – I 'm sure the whole trilogy is great, but I stopped there because I'm an inconsistent reader and had a bizarre fantasy of reading all dragonlance chronologically even though most writers there aren't at Chris Pierson's level and I dropped the ball on that plan anyway. But I see why DL fans lump this trilogy with Chronicles/Legends as essential Dragonlance – too bad WotC don't see it that way, and physical copies of these are rare and expensive – I didn't know they only went 2/3rds with the kindle WTF?! How many people will buy book 2 without book 1?

The first novel not available on Kindle is similar to libraries missing a book on a trilogy. In other words: frustrating. Reason? Who the hell knows? One would think it would be obvious to have all 3 books instead of book 2 and 3.
In any case, this is a fantastic trilogy that was lucky enough to find them when they became less readily available.
