Workers were seen fleeing the world’s largest iPhone assembly factory in China after a Covid-19 outbreak was reported at the facility operated by Foxconn Technology Group. The company issued three notices about cases in the facility on October 30, 2022, and pledged to arrange safe passage for workers wishing to leave and a sanitised environment for those who choose to stay on. Many workers left on foot to avoid being stopped by strict Covid-19 control measures on public transport or at checkpoints in the city. Earlier there had been reports of complaints about poor living conditions after the company imposed strict measures meant to stop the spread of the virus.

  1. I'm guessing this will be the next excuse of why the iPhone costs $3,000 and the worst part is people will STILL actually pay for one just to boast a superficial social status. Come on zoomers you know you want one just for this.

  4. Every year people die in cars. I only know like 3 adults that don’t have a drivers license? All I know is we didn’t round everyone up and tell them not to drive cuz you can die. I’ve had Covid 3 times. They are fine. “Oh but blah blah died”. Yeah. It happens. Look up how many people die of the flu.

  5. "A small number number of employees", must have been written by the same person documenting the "small number of" affected devices when a product has a systematic design flaw. Apple (and apparently Foxconn in this case) loves to downplay events.
