I would venture to say that the water’s surrounding Taiwan are probably the most heavily mined waters on the planet. Most of China’s surface fleet is shallow water oriented, which is one reason why they won’t fare well against us in that arena. But that fact makes them prime meat for seagoing mines. The only other ways to get a substantial invasion force onto the island is the commercial airport or airdrops. I like Taiwans odds.
