China’s suspended monorail is on a test run from Jiufeng Mountain Station in Wuhan City. With a maximum speed of 60 kilometers per hour, the driverless sky train moves around on a 10.5 kilometer-long aerial track.

Even in India in early 2000s we had a Skytrain prototype developed by Konkan Railway, one freak accident and the Sky train development was put on hold. i guess these type of innovation require lot of trail and development from learnings. One thing which India need to learn is to support their companies in developing the new technologies. Kuddos to china which has repeatedly supported their industries in new technologies which help them to have a technological advancement which have lead to have a major leap in their infrastructure development.

  2. Monorails around the world are passe. KL, Malaysia had them for over 25 years by their skyscrapers . Newer faster mass trench systems are replacing them.

  3. China can't even build bridges that don't collapse. Elevators and escalators collapse and kill hundreds of people a day in China. Who in their right mind would go on this tofu train?
