Growing evidence of China mulling lethal military aid to Russia has spooked the West. Even since Russian tanks rolled over into Ukraine, China has offered Putin diplomatic support. But had restricted itself from overt military involvement or sending lethal arms. According to reports, the Biden administration is now considering releasing intel showing how China is weighing option to supply weapons to support Russia’s war in Ukraine. Chinese premier Xi Jinping is also expected to visit Russia in March-April. The Ukraine conflict now looks to be escalating to the next level with a confrontation between Russia and China on one side and Ukraine and US-led Nato military alliance on the other. Senior Research Fellow at the Higher School of Economics in Moscow joins Hindustan Times’ Aditi Prasad for details.

What I find strange is why can the 30 members of NATO, the European Union, Australia and Japan support Ukraine but China can't support Russia, militarily or economically.
Also in truth it's the BRICS countries plus that support Russia. I don't think China in isolation should be singled out. For example India's trade with Russia has more than doubled.
Already a economic war. India, China and the Saudis have responded to Russian sanctions by using Russian and Chinese currencies to pay for Russian Energy instead of the Petro Dollar and found an alternative to the USA controlled SWIFT international banking transfer. Both direct challenges to USA hegemony that will remain regardless of Ukraine winning or losing the War. Further I think the BRICS are discussing a reserve currency in August backed by Oil and Gold with the Saudis wanting to join the BRICS among others. I see Posts of China selling USA real estate and in the process of de-dollarization ! Even Japan is selling USA bonds. The world economic order is changing but western Media are not informing us about it yet. Google if you want to verify what I am saying.

China will not let Russia lose this war because it knows that if Russia loses they are next. It appears that it is just WISHFUL THINKING that CHINA is providing military support to Russia as it is very glaring that it is the US & EU-NATO who are supplying Ukraine with military hardware, equipment and munitions. Granting if it's true just like what Iran did by selling UAVs to Russia, it is not US business to stop them from engaging in sales of military weapons to Russia since CHINA has trade relations with Russia -= they are allies for the longest time. Did Russia in anyway stop US & EU-NATO countries from supplying Ukraine with deadly weapons? What Russia did was only to remind US & EU-NATO that they are indirectly at war with Russia and Russia reserves the right to hit the supply chain of these weapons of destruction.
