I disagree with the notion that the Chinese protesters know how utterly violent their government can be. Anyone born after Tiananmen Square never heard of it. History does not include the event. Those that were old enough and close enough to the incident never said another word about it or were disappeared if they did. The young Chinese have no idea what their government is really capable of.

As a Canadian who supported the convoy (we are a trucking family) I can say that was the proudest moment I had felt towards Canadians in 3 years! We had been sheep who listened to everything and followed every rule for 3 years. I thought we would never get out of it. When I saw those truckers driving down the highway it made me cry because for the first time in three years I felt hopeful for my country. Of course our PM had to shut it down in the most disgusting and tyrannical way instead of just speaking with the people. Thank you for making this comparison to China, it is something I have been trying to explain to people for a long time. Those of us who see it now call Canada, Chinada. Unfortunately a lot of our population still believes all the lies they have been told so we still have a way to go.

I don’t watch TV either, but noticed that at the beginning this year. 9 out of 10 commercials have a person of color or non Hetero and the only ones that do have white people are negative prescription drug adds. The left will say “wHy U hAve PRobLeM wItH MinORitiEs?!?!”, I don’t have a problem, my favorite show as a kid was the Prince of Bel Air.
