So it appears to this casual observer, there is really nothing of economic interest on the moon's surface found 50 years ago or even recently. Hence no further US or western missions. Highly likely the same will be the result on Mars. Still exploration is a interesting challenge in the future of great speculation. Mankind seeking new habitat in the far reaches of space is intriguing.
