What China miscalculated is the whole general concept of war with the USA and the whole general concept is that the USA has the best military in history by far. Our will to win is incredibly high as well. You wouldn’t sink anyone of our ships. And even if you did that’s just one ship you destroyed. You would have to deal with the rest of our navy including the navy seals and marines and other branches as well. I’m in the U.S. Army branch and you wouldn’t even come close to beating us in a war. As a matter of fact China has never been the best military. It’s been in order of Egypt, Greece, Rome, Great Britain and now the United States of America. I’d say we’ve been the best since the end of world war 2 so the 1940s. Even though we beat Great britian in our war of independence in 1781 great britian was still for some reason considered the best but during world war 2 Great Britain’s mighty empire became vulnerable and asked the U.S. for help so we did and to this day we still have an Air Force base over there. So there ya go. We would definitely beat you with our prestigous technology and human troops. The Ancient Greek Spartans wouldn’t even be able to beat us.

I think no army war between US and China. The war already in progress between the two country but on economy and leading. I think China don't want a war. The last 2000 ash years China always was a big part in the globe for trading, so I think the first shot not from the Chinese side will be. US lose influence in the world and if coming a populist leader in the states (2024) they will be answering with army power for that try protecting the influence. So if I see the candidates in the next election we have not the good choice eater side.
