  1. The aeronautical cyber-theft route for China has failed, and now the C919 price is above the Airbus, since China must pay 75% of the price for imported components whose IP it couldn't steal. Who on Earth would not buy an Airbus, unless forced to buy the C919 for CCP-determined reasons?

  2. Well, with that percentage, I can see why they want their own. First, your people need to have the will. See, that's our secret. There are no magic unicorns in the U.S. making us what we are.

  3. China definitely has the technology to make everything in house. They actually started working on their own engines around the Trump era probably before then. Chinese have even built domestically made engines for their fighter jets.

  4. The thing is other commercial aircraft manufacturers donā€™t label their aircraft as made in France or made in America. They have manufacturing plants all over the world and I donā€™t hear people saying ā€œmy country made thatā€ when they see those aircraft.

  5. It would be interesting what COMAC plans over the next 10 years ā€¦ annual ramp up rates of C919 deliveries, when will C929 be ready and itsā€™ annual ramp up rate, when will all foreign subsystems subject to cutoff be replaceable with domestic products, the ramp up rate of sales to foreign airlines.
