  1. My sister had an aneurism at MK. The cast took care of and quickly transported her to the ER for surgery. She is now home and healthy. As Tom said, she was very fortunate it happened at Disney.

  2. Reflections of Earth was by far my favorite night time show, especially before Happily Ever After! I loved everything about that show! It's still sad that it's gone now. I know Disney does little tributes to the show (they did one during D23 even), I would love to see them bring back the show in some way with what they use now, even if it's just for one night! Can't wait to see everything about the show tomorrow! Super excited!!!

  3. Glad that little boy's life was saved by an alert cast member. Reminds me of when Tom had a retinal tear on that ride.
I miss Illuminations. Luminous doesn't hold a candle to Illuminations.

  4. I’m happy the boys life was saved, not happy that Disney continues to raise prices on everything. They’re continuing to price families out, especially hard working ones.

  5. Fantastic news about the little boy. This is what we have come to love about Disney.
One of my clients lived because she called down to the front desk, mentioned she didn't feel good. Something tugged at the CM causing her to check on this guest. She was found in cardiac arrest and help was summoned immediately. Thank goodness this happened at a Disney resort where trained and kind cast members are in abundance.

  6. Wow the story of the kid is pretty amazing and definitely the cast members are the heart of the parks. Although, not everybody would give them respect they will still help when needed. Anyways, Disney is basically like probably four different roller coasters trying to get them all high, but they can’t all be high until they actually know what to do with the information.

  7. Not sure if the parents knew or not of his condition but the ride clearly states that you shouldn’t ride with pre existing conditions. This goes along with those parents that stuff things into their kids shoes to make them taller. Parents are going to end up getting their children hurt just because they’re spending so much on their vacation and want to get their moneys worth. It’s getting out of hand

  8. Wow! We were at EPCOT that day with a 2pm boarding group at Cosmic Rewind. As we arrived, we found the attraction had just closed a few minutes prior. It was the last day of our trip, and we were extremely tired & hoped that we could make it long enough in the park for Cosmic Rewind to reopen. We rode a few other things & then saw it was open again. We ran over, had an amazing time getting in almost right after it had reopened, then after hustled over to our dinner reservation at Garden Grill before being completely drained.

It's awful to hear what the cause of that closing was – but also relieved to hear how everyone came together to make sure that boy was OK.

  9. People need to stop paying for LL. I know we created the monster, but we have to accept that we may not be able to do everything we want on a trip. Disney inflates the wait times too, and the queues while entertaining, add to the wait times.
If we starve the monster enough, Disney will kill it.
Or Universal does away with theirs/implements a free fp system and then Disney will be shamed into doing away with it.
Anyway, let’s stop rewarding the terrible c-suite decisions because they’re upset that Disney+ isn’t making money any more for their investors

  10. The story about the boy reminded me when I was working at an electronics store. One day, everyone was required to learn how to use the AED. Turned out a man had walked in the door of one of our other locations and dropped dead shortly after. The AED did not save him, though.

  11. Disney World is a “good place” to have a medical event ONLY IF it its easy to move the patient quickly to a backstage/offstage area.

In the mid 90s I was in Epcot with my family traveling on the bridges between England and France. There were two rough looking guys sitting on some concrete in the fireworks viewing areas and you could tell from his posture that one guy was in REALLY bad shape. My father went down the stairs to ask if everything was OK and the one guy was clearly drifting in and out of consciousness with his friend physically holding him upright while seated. The other guy insisted that his friend was fine and was trying to get us to leave (a bit too hard.) It really looked like a drug overdose. My father went to the kiosk at the top of the hill and notified the cast members. 15 minutes later Reedy Creek emergency services arrived leisurely walking a gurney through the park from somewhere in the France pavilion. I understand that you do not want to alarm other guests and it was in a very inconvenient location for EMS to get to, but considering this person could have been dying in the middle of the park I would have expected a little bit of urgency. In health situations, minutes can matter.

In the case in the news story, I am truly thankful that the CMs and guests did a fantastic job with the very best outcome.

  12. WDW News Today, please for everything that’s sacred in Roy’s Magical Kingdom center yourself in the frame during your news reporting. Yes, I am familiar with the rule of thirds but that does not apply to your setup (not including the eye line), if that’s what your going for. I really like what you guys do and I think you work hard to produce good content but please honor my request. Everyone in Bagdad, Arizona won’t stop talking about it and with the heat out here I’m afraid somebody is just going to snap.

  13. The little boy is so lucky he pulled through so happy disney cast members were so responsive. Thank you for releasing the illuminations event footage. I have heard you reference the event for so long. I am glad I will finally get to watch it.

  14. As long as people continue to go and pay the silly prices – they will continue to increase. Hotel prices are out of control. If you didn't know, you can get gorgeous VRBO properties just off property for 1/10 the price per bedroom at Disney hotels. They have carved out pretty much all the good places to view fireworks so you have to pay a fee, rides all cost extra beyond your ticket to get in – AND – you might not even be able to get on if you are not lucky enough to get on the list before it fills up. All in all, it's just not fun anymore.
