Mahomes can't be blamed for the loss. I was shocked at all the dropped balls but I think the Chiefs are dealing with a young receiver core and that this game will be something they will learn from. The defense looked solid. I would love to see Chris Jones playing but to be honest, at this point, that whole situation is a big distraction. The Chiefs are going to have to be renegotiating rookie contracts in the off season and they will need money to do that. I think the Chiefs can still be a dominating force without him. That deal either needs to get done asap or trade him. It's been going on long enough. If the WR's can correct whatever issues they had in holding onto the ball, the Chiefs would have won that game. Put Kelce back into the equation, and everyone will see that this game is just a dip in the road for the Chiefs. I'm not worried. I predict they will win the rest of their games.

They did this in 2021 with the Browns. The Browns were kind of sexy/swaggery in 2020 and nearly beat the Chiefs (L 19-22) in the second round of the playoffs right after ending Roethlisbergers career in Pittsburgh. Game 1 in 2021 (L 29-33) was a great game and also very close. The Lions were kind of sexy/swaggery last year so I see this as a parallel situation.
