Why is there a grounding spike?
If you have formic acid embedded in the plastic, might soaking it in a mildly basic solution help remove it? Perhaps a hot baking soda solution?
Marvelous progress!👍 If you're going to glaze your chicken bowl, look into "salt glazing" (since you seem to have a good amount of salt).😀 Also, you might add a second solar panel to your very cool power cart; hinge them on the top so you can open the second one up and cut that recharge time down. QUESTION: Can that solar heat collector do double duty as a radiator? Cause I'd do that, and put a reversible heat pump in there running on solar. So you could either heat or cool the greenhouse…
@22:00 Those frames are perfect for building some Martian parasols, hang out underneath for some shade & enjoy the view of the desolate riviera.
YESS CODY POSTED AGAIN
Curse the algorithm! I didn't even see this video until almost a week after it posted. Great seeing your stuff everytime you post something Cody, thanks! BTW I reread Project Hail Mary recently and saw your mention in the acknowledgements section!
Base is looking awesome. Ever consider doing a low budget sci Fi film after you finish the base?
i love this series so much!
The float valve for the overflow seems over complicated, could have a more reliable overflow protection by having an open pipe or have it dip down a bit and act as a syphon. I would also worry about that float valve getting plugged.
Very glad to see you making videos on the chicken hole base series. It was sad though to see the greenhouse and disarray and neglect. I know that you're working hard to get it going again but when you went in there I was expecting to see the plants and it was just avoid of whiteness. Look forward to future videos keep up the great work❤🙂
ChickenHole Base Ep. 536: Expanding the martian CO2 compressor array
Is your inverter a pure sine wave inverter? Some electronics are sensitive to not having pure sine waves.
Use the base of the tower by coating it in aluminium or something and then put a frying pan in the middle to heat up. Use solar power to cook eggs from the chickens.
i used to like this show, now it's just sad. Cody is engaging in some serious escapism. he doesn't even go outside without a larpsuit now. he really needs to sort his stuff out
You need a pure sine wave inverter to power that hot plate, the modified sine wave is dangerous for sensitive electronics, like electric motors.. and some other things too.. pure sine wave inverters are also more power efficient too.
15:32 handheld to stationary shot to visual trick. This is not just a guy documenting a science experiment, this a guy genuinely having fun while doing it. Keep going Cody!
Cody, how about turning those tank supports into dishes to catch radio waves from space??
Cody have you considered trying to make bone china?
You could try slowing down the drying process of the bentonite clay, should help with the cracking.
I see the EASTEREGGs 👀
Cody: "this is actually an induction hot plate"
me: "huh, not even broken, cool!"
Cody: "it doesn't work"
… and there it is
8:00 BEETLE! REALLY COOL BEETLE BOTTOM RIGHT CORNER!!!
I'm happy to follow you on Rumble?
I'm not here for you, because of YouTube. YouTube is replaceable
You can use the ceramic as a water filter.
your ground spike did not look all to grounded. rather sanded. might the fancy electronics in the plate check for proper grounding? I know that EV-onboard-chargers can be offended, if grounding is poor. In that instance, they poured saltwater over it which made the car happy.
Haha! Fire one brick at a time in that for building materials. Mass production of brick isn't an easy process by hand, check out Primitive Technology.
You could use the Formic acid barrel to store your pipes and stuff so they are not in direct sunlight
I'm curious if you could cover one of the tank stands in a sheeting of some sort and rig up a dish receiver with some extra parts.
Great work man!!
I was thinking you could open up the inside of the stand and use it as part of an airlock or an inter-tank joint/door/thing!
yes😀
Sent them to a farm? You mean like my parents did with my first dog? My pops still tells me peppy is doing well, at 36 years old. I don't know why my dogs don't live that long with me.
I absolutely love your bone pile 🦴!
You cld use the tank stands for shade and rain water collection
if your inverter is a modified sinewave your stove may not like the square wave handed out by the inverter 🙂
Wrong hole Cody, It goes in the square hole. 😆
Hey Cody, I have a suggestion for Robocody… You could upgrade him with a head camera fixture device, so we could watch him working with BOTH HANDS… Unless you are planning mounting a third arm on him.
