The gift idea for under $50 that came to mind for me is an M.2 SSD Enclosure (if possible get one with a Type C to C cable) with a 240/256gb SSD as I know people who end up filling their phone with photos and videos and a small external SSD would be a very useful gift for offloading those.

It's worth spending a little extra to get reusable zip-ties.
I can never look at zipties in relation to pc building, without thinking "tweazers"

That Black+Decker screwdriver should cost around 20$ or have a lot of bits and 90° adapter included. Not a great buy at that price.

I've been using the same Black & Decker screwdriver for 8 years (almost exactly). It still works good as new and somehow still holds a charge for months.
Not gonna lie, I was expecting much cooler things than zip ties and hoodies in a tech video…
**Whoa I bought 4x zip tie bundle** The first one from package broke as I was threading it into the end that ratchets. The next next 2 broke as I was trying to snug them up. They look brand new but I'm sure they have been left in the heat until they became brittle.
I'm not wasting any more time with this junk.

A good set of precision screwdrivers is very helpful during PC building. Both for the teeny-weeny M.2 Screws, but also when plugging in fan headers or front IO stuff.

One thing I would recommend that have been super helpful for me is a magnetic tray. I got mine at lowes for like $5 in the little automotive section and it has been great at keeping my screws, tools, bits, and other little metallic case items organized.

Some other ideas are things that become handy but always think about it after the fact.
-Rechargeable batteries with the wall charger
-budget IEMs like the Linsoul 7hz Zero 2
-studio monitor isolation pads
-bias lighting for TV/monitor like the brand Govee
-rollerblade office chair wheels to replace the cruddy manufacturer ones
-a controller such as Xbox or Dualsense for PC
-portable bluetooth speaker like the JBL Clip 5 for on the go in and out of home
-180 degree 8 pin GPU adapters to clean up the GPU cable routing
-replacement Ear Pads for headphones
-power supply tester or multimeter
-lavalier microphone
-electric duster
Most of these things can serve some use but ultimately the more you know about the person receiving the gift, the more appropriate the gift can become. Theres even all sorts of budget room/desk accessories and decor on Etsy that can be petsonalized like LED standees, or 3D printed game cases key caps, or fake terrarium themed accents, etc. Give yourself plenty of time and you can find something worth receiving!

What does long hair Paul look like?
I bought a peg board then took some wood, used a router and made a frame for it. I stained it and made it look cool. All for under $20. I mostly use it to hold keyboards, controllers, and 3d printing stuff. Plus your can 3d print stuff to hang for it

@5:50 bonus, if they work from home, look for a USB dock with dual output. That way they can seamlessly switch their Mouse and Keyboard and other peripherals with their work PC and Home PC. I have been doing it for a couple years now and love it.
