Jammer joins the show to talk about the Brandon Staley era and if Los Angeles’ next coach should have head coaching experience like Jim Harbaugh. Dan and David talk with one of the best corners in team history about what made his teams so great. Two of the biggest factors of the Chargers success was the leadership of Marty Schottenheimer and Philip Rivers. Jammer also tells the guys why he thinks the Chargers cornerbacks have struggled and why they need some dogs in the room.

  1. That is what I was talking about! Complete foot ball players playing COMPLETE FOOTBALL GAMES!!!
Let's faceit…there are so many holes in the roster at the end of this year it is NOT turning in one year. That head coach is going to make all the difference in the world. Harbaugh has that something that the old game or attitude that made the older Chargers 05, 06 teams had. He played for Ditka and kinda reminds me of him. STOP DRAFTING GLASS PLAYERS! They look great but break. Keep the right guys and get rid of the fragile ones.

  2. This episode was dope good to hear jammer on the pod I’ll always remember the hit on Jerry rice (I been corrected it was Hitman who hit rice not Q) I think his rookie year me and my friends started calling him (Quentin 🔨 Jammer) after he laid out Colbert on the panthers in 2004) (he didn’t hit the goat 😂).. hope he does come back to hear some stories from back in the day I was in my teenage years in the early 2000’s best chargers teams
Side note: they should have never fired Marty 😢… #jim2Chargers

  3. Wishing for a Brock Bowers or a Malik Nabers would be my top choice with the 1st pick in the draft if the DB room's cupboards weren't so bare. For biggest need, I think the Chargers would need to give serious consideration to a Kool-Aid or Nate Wiggins pick, followed closely by addressing center and running back with regard to impact starters. Missing Corey Linsley and having half of Ekeler were likely the 2 biggest problems on offense this season.

  4. In down to start mattlock, darius, henley, drop derwin, and really make alohi captain of the defense . I love derwin but too many penalties, missed tackles, and getting beat in the secondary . And the obvious cap space .

  5. Thank you, Quentin, for all the years of excitement you brought to my life by playing football so well. You were an integral part of what were the best years to be a Chargers fan. You made Sundays better.

  6. Coming in i don't think Brandon Staley liked Alohi Gilman. But that dude has posted an overall pff score of 82.6. Which is a big jump because last season he was a 54.3. So JT Woods you dont know you have to play them. They might get better as they play. That's where Staley f*ked up. That's where a lot of these coaches f*k up. Because they don't have the secret sauce. You're not going to go out and get a bunch of good players and build a super bowl roster. It'll never happen. Patience and allowing the younger players to learn the nfl. And having a few good technical coaches. The Chargers just need to unload and reload and get younger. Cant be afraid of that.
