  1. Well it does appear that were going to see a lot more changes in the YouTube retro game channel scene. I've notice that many are on a flat or even downward trajectory. Burnout by creators, audience or both? People moving on? Pat's had a long run maybe it's just his time for change. Few TV shows have lasted as long as Pat!

  2. I can't believe how time flies. When you said the podcast is ending, I literally had to fight back tears, as silly as that might sound. You and Ian have been super important obviously with gaming and collecting, but having met you both multiple times, playing the challenge at your panel, you guys had a huge impact, and I'm sure you will continue to do so. Thank you for all that you've done.

  3. I think at some point things just need to end. AVGN will eventually end the nerd too. Flea market madness, CU podcast and nes punk all had their time… time for new stuff or get the ol' 9-5er and let youtube ride on it's revenue for ya. I had a brief youtube stint working on electronics and honestly.. I enjoy working than making videos for crybabies who criticize the hell out of everything, plus.. the getting older thing.. lol. Best of luck Pat.

  4. Saddened with the loss of the weekly podcast, it helped keep my sanity and stress off the pandemic while working from home. Being from buffalo Ian always brought up nostalgia of the best kind and the topics were always interesting. Best of luck, in search of filling the giant hole with a new podcast

  5. I recently just entered my 40's and man, you're not joking. Things suck the energy a lot more and faster now than before. I totally get it, its exhausting and its time to move life and projects in a more relaxed direction. Ive done the same with my hobbies. You've been in it a long time. You earned it man. Thanks for the many, many years of dedication and hard work.

  6. I know this is random but I truly think you and Ian should be incredibly proud of the journalistic jobs you’ve done for the past years. I truly believe you guy brought to light so many interesting stories and analysis of the games industry

Not sure if you remember, i left a voice mail many months ago, i said that i was in the hospital fighting cancer, and the podcast helped me a lot during the long day in my hospital room. I remember listening to it while trying to fall a sleep 😋
The good news is that i am in remission now 🙌🏻

  8. Thanks for all the content. I can still remember driving all over the place for the military a few years ago. Any time I had a CU Podcast episode on standby, it was a good drive.

  9. End of an era. I started listening way back in 2014 and it’s been a fixture for me since then. All good things do and should come to an end tho, so I’m happy y’all are able to work on different things.

  11. If you get some time, you should make Pat the NES punk seaons videos, like in 2hr blocks. I'd love to just have them on in the backround as I work. Same with Flea Market Madness plz!
