Chance gets Adopted After 12 Months of Rehabilitation #americanbulldog

We’re happy crying here at the farm. I feel there might be a few of you all that might feel the same. It’s what we’ve all been waiting for. Chance has worked so hard for this moment. He deserves it so very much. Way to go Chancey boy. Your very own home.

Thank you to your new mum for opening her home and heart once again.

And Luke.

I hope you don’t mind I have to just take a moment and say it here … you did it Luke. When everyone gave up. You absolutely didn’t. Despite literal blood, sweat and tears … you never let him down. Even those very low moments when we felt he just might not get there … you downright refused to accept it. You closed the business you loved … to give him just what was needed.

And now here we are.

It was all worth it Chancey boy. You are worth it.

We love you. We couldn’t be happier for you. We will miss your beautiful big smiling face but you beautiful boy, made the farm what it is today. And we are grateful to you for that. There will be many dogs that come to the farm, who will be better for the fact that you came before them.

You are truly something Chance. Forever a farm dog. Now you have your very own farm to call home.

We will be watching your videos from afar with loving happy hearts.

Good bye Chancey boy, go live your life to the fullest!

  1. I’ve watched this video 3x now, and I’ve been blubbering off & on all day. So many emotions! On one hand, I’m happy Chance has a forever home, with Nevaeh no less, and he’s never been in a more healthy state of mind as he is now, thanks to Luke, Jason, Sam, and the support of The Farm Team. Thank you Ben for an absolutely wonderful video; you’ve really outdone yourself with this one!
I can’t imagine the emotions Luke was going through however. He’d built a year long relationship with Chance, that’s an incredibly long journey. I liked his analogy the other day however, which was to look at it as though he’d raised a child, and now that child is an adult, ready to move out, and start their own life. I think in his line of work, that’s a healthy way of looking at it. Now he can go home, and concentrate on his other rehaber’s, knowing that he’s done an award winning job with Chancey Boy.
Luke is certainly the Dog Whisperer of Australia!

  4. Luke, you are the best. And if you/we didn't realise it before, this video is proof. Sam, your words say it all – when everyone else would probably have given up, Luke didn't.
Freddo was your first but Chance was the one that really changed your life.
    Thank you for being you.

  5. Oh how I cried. Happy tears. So relieved now that I’ve seen Chance so happy again with Nevaeh and Fred at his wonderful forever family. Chancey Boy you’ve got your very own farm.
Luke’s salute to Chance had me sobbing and also when he said to Nevaeh to look after Chance. Wonderful video Sam. Thank you Luke and Sam. Just Incredible what you’ve done. ❤

  6. Is it obsessive to want to watch this each morning?? Nevaeh and Luke, then Chance and Nevaeh- such happiness. Perfect closure for anyone with pangs , missing these two huge doggy characters. All is the best it could be. ( I'm left with the wonderful image of Chance and Nevaeh sharing mum's bed with her..) x

  8. Well dangit, the tears keep leaking. What a bittersweet moment for you Luke. Not just to let Chance go but to see Nevaeh again. She was so happy to see her favorite Luke. Chancy-boy was so loved at the Farm, but I believe he’s where he’ll be happy and have a wonderful life with his best friend. Running off with his new mum and sister and not looking back was wonderful but also a bit of a twinge for Luke. The salute just set me off bawling again. Pouring your heart and soul into something, to love it wholeheartedly and then let it go is the hardest thing. The fact that you can let him go speaks to your desire for HIS best life and shows just how amazingly unselfish and good-hearted you guys are. Love me some Evans family. And I’m still crying.

  10. It is like letting your children go off into the World, I had to do that 3 times. I could tell how hard it was for Luke with Nevaeh and Chance and all the others that have been adopted. Chance was a special case and loved all the videos of his progress. Love to Luke and everyone else who contributed to this special day. Glad he has his own YouTube channel, would miss that mouth and chunky cuddles. There are still more dogs out there like Chance, I hope they end up at the Farm.

  12. An amazing reunion to watch!🥰 I feel like Neveah chose Chance a long time ago and now she gets to live with her best friend. Chance has seemed a bit lonely since she left and the others can't really forget his past. Nevaeh is that friend that has seen you at your worst and still loves you. I am also so glad that Luke got to see what a lovely life they will have together

  13. Thank you for all you do. I’ve been following Chance and Nevaeh since the beginning and understood why it was important to focus on rescue. I’ve long been a “student” of dogs, really love all animals. (I recommend the book An Immense World: How animals senses reveal the hidden realms around us by Ed Young).

I’ve been tired and emotional lately as the last five years has been a relentless roller coaster for me. I am getting married to someone also widowed and retiring from my therapy work in June. I guess the adrenaline and knowing I will be slowing down soon is making me tired. Crazy eh?

Your work (and joyful play) has made life easier to deal with, and been an inspiration and frankly healthy escape as I grieved and got on with life.

I can’t imagine life without my dogs. I needed those tears from this beautiful story,

  14. It was so good of you Luke and Sam for recognising that Chance liked a little break from the Big Pack when he went on his solitary adventures and reached the conclusion about what sort of life would suit him. And he got it. A beautiful farm, his best friend and a loving family. Could not have been a more perfect result 😊

  15. WOW, I was hoping we would get the chance to see the two reunited, and then that sweet Freddy as a bonus. Truly heartwarming to watch. And yes, had tears flowing on my keyboard. Thank you for giving them a second chance. Love it, love it, love it.

  16. Another amazing video! So happy Chance has a forever home with his bestie!! But aside from that, how brilliant is the farm family and fans, I love to read the comments people make about the videos they have watched, it reminds me that there are many lovely people in this world who love and care for animals, which on its own makes them good people. When I was young, my Mum used to say you can tell a man's true nature by the way he acts with animals, and I judged every man I ever dated by that standard, and married an animal lover!

  17. This is so bittersweet. I've cried and cried because I never wanted Chancey to leave but this was the goal and he achieved it with flying colors. The expectations for Chance were not high in the beginning but just look and what he and Luke have achieved. Chance you have a global family that is so proud of you! We will miss you so.
Luke and Sam, thank you forever for giving Chance the environment in which to thrive. We are so grateful to you.
Naveah, please look after Chance we love you both. ❤
